Jay de la Cueva, a known musician and singer in Mexico, has been a great supporter of the girls, specially when they weren't that known.

Jay de la Cueva, front man of Moderatto, has supported the sisters for a long time. He shared the stage with The Warning during Martirio at Vive Latino 2024. He did that during Narcisista at NYC in 2019 when Lava spotted the girls.

Jay’s been a great friend to the Villarreal family. He’s made cameos at least twice at TW shows and there’s video of him jamming with the girls in the Cave. This was the first time I remember Pau coming out front, Pau unleashed is always something to behold!

I think they did Nirvana's "Breed" on their tour with Eruca Sativa in Argentina, wich was in 2019. Pau was up front there and I believe that was a little prior to this.

Moderatto was born as a satire of metal bands, but what they didn’t expect was that this very fact would put them on the radar of the Mexican public… as always, it’s nice to watch your reactions. And if it’s not too much to ask, I’d recommend you react to Zoé, a Mexican rock band that did one of the best MTV Unplugged performances… The songs I recommend are: Labios Rotos, Soñé, and Luna from their MTV Unplugged. I’m sure Glenn would really like it.

Great find G&A. You guys keep surprising me with all this historical DPA Performances. I can see how Pau was born to play the drums. She has so much stored energy. Just love seeing her jumping across the stage. Cheers TWA-LA

Thanks, Glenn and Adrian. This scene is very fun to watch, especially because Paulina, with her energy, lives up to that "Energizer Bunny" label. I had seen her in other videos taken by the audience, but from the other side of the stage (where Paulina is) not this video. Moderatto is a band that was born as a kind of parody of rock bands, but ended up being a fairly successful band. I seem to remember, if I'm not mistaken, that Jay de la Cueva (leader and guitarist of Moderatto), had already appeared in another video of yours, where the Villarreal sisters are in their "cave" and play accompanied by him on the guitar.

I think we may still need to do that one - we've seen the ones with a guest bassist, and guest drummer (Thomas and Matthew I believe). Thanks for the reminder.

There is a new interview with The Warning posted by Montreal Rocks. Near the beginning the question comes up about how they began, and Dany immediately just passes the mike to Ale. It's the clearest sign that Ale has been given this question to answer.

Moderatto (is the name of a shampoo that was sold in Mexico in the 80´s) were born as a parody and satire band towards eighties glam... but they are very good musicians, the drummer is impressive (by the way... Ale brought a more rock attitude back then)

That was great, the only thing that surprises me is that Pau isn’t required for insurance liability reasons to wear a safety harness and tether to prevent her from flying off the stage and over the audience. She’s definitely a super front woman disguised as a drummer.

Jay de la cueva is a big supporter of the warning. they said in ITW they consider him as a big brother because as them he started to play and perform very very young They invited him 2 or 3 times especially during the Mercury lounge concert in december 2019 when Jason Floam saw them and signed 7 months later(it exists videos)

Hello Glenn and Adrian, good that you bring us this… To be honest I’ve never liked Moderatto’s music, but to be fair, Jay de la Cueva, Moderatto’s lead singer and musician has always supported The Warning a lot!!.. Yes, they started as a satire of a metal band, but never passed from there, as you could see on the video. And as another person recommended here, I completely agree with him, you should check out “Zoé” (alternative Mexican rock band), a very good rock band. And of course, their MTV Unplugged show (year, 2011), it is amazing! And it was widely awarded. I really think you should check it out. 🤘🏼⚡️
