I caught a couple of shows in the 70/80s. Late 90s the band re formed and the local radio station had tickets and were at the local head shop. I got all dressed up in my Gilligan the Clown costume and pedaled my bike over there. Juggled, made some balloon animals and some cheasy magic tricks got me my free up front tickets. OMG did they ever still kick some serious ass. Bad Ass Party Band!

Blow Your Face Out was huge in New England in the mid-70s. One of the first bands I was really into in junior high. There version of Looking for a Love is amazing. I ran into Peter Wolf walking around on the Upper West Side in the late eighties after his solo career had taken off some.

Had the pleasure of seeing The J. Geils Band live in Nashua, N.H. at Holman Stadium, with a good local band called the Bronin-Hogman Band as the opener. Vocalist Peter Wolf is a dynamo on stage, and he was briefly married to Actress Faye Dunaway. J. Geils on Guitar was more than competent, and the rest of the band, Danny Klein-Bass, Seth Justman-Keyboards, Steven Jo Bladd-Drums and Magic Dick-Harmonica were all excellent musicians. Justman used six Chromed out spinning Leslie Speakers with his setup, which just looked cool when he fired them up. A real party band, like you said.

PinkFloyd CCR & J Geils were the first records I bought then my sister gave me Woodstock woo hoo. For a new band you may want to check out Ukrainian rock band “The Sixters” new song “Feels “ their videos are a little uh different but the music is great they also just dropped a ballad “I Stare at you” but they are mostly rock. it takes more than one song to get them.
