Keep up the good work boys. This is great for those of us who don't have the resources to go exploring. You are very much appreciated. Happy new year 🎉

Absolutely fantastic you’re actually taking the time and effort to go and do actual research, it seems these people that do the tours the only reason they go is to take a load of people and make some cash out of it, other than that they’re not going on their own for personal reasons. So I massively appreciate that especially with jobs and families guys, well done and keep it up 👍🏼

1:05:25 Those "steps" were most likely used as ratcheting for a water plunger to control the levels of the water within it. This controlled the pressure/temperature of the chambers where chemical reactions were taking place.

46:00 The holes remind me of what you'd expect to see if they had nuclear control rods that lowered into the lid to slow down/speed up the chemical reaction that was taking place.

Wow you and me Kyle need to work out how we could do that as a permanent job so awesome to be amongst all of that crazy old precise stone work... when I went to Lahourn in 2022 just before the main tour with you lot it was in way better condition hardly any roof schillings where on the floor. It would be such a shame if it all collapsed in and you couldn't go to see that amazing rose granite box and room it was one off my high lights of visiting Egypt. I loved seeing all the scanning that ya's did and all those tunnels under the black pyramid ... and that crazy big box down the shaft near Unas Pyramid at Saqqara we need to get down there I have got photos all around it but not down the shaft .😃🤙🐍🐍🐍

Had an idea Kyle and Russ from one of your vids about the menkaure pyramid lower flattened of granite casing stones. Them notches underneath the blocks above the doorway...i saw a video where they used a leverage system that goes all the way up one side of the pyramid with ropes and pulleys, over the top, and down the other side. They put a block on at the bottom oneside, and at the top carriage on the opposite side, start loading it with sandbags until you counter weight the block just enough to bring it up the pyramid. Once at the top, lock the carriage. Maybe using hooks on lower blocks on opposite side? Then once the blocks unloaded, unhook, let the carriage fall. Start again

At about 50 minutes in all those holes in the side of the shaft are for mounting brackets for an elevator. Probably wooden brackets for a wooden platform elevator of some sort.

The holes in the wall of that giant shaft with the giant box in the bottom were likely used to get the box down. Some type of advanced pulley system.

Sure have missed your 'casts, Señor Snakey-lakes! Since I are a Animator, I started my teentsie studio in the 70s building a Camera stand w a then-25-year-old Swiss Bolex 16mm camera, years before "transitioning" to CGI. Lot of photographers learned the basics of lenses, f-stops, normal angles, polarizing filters, and such. Bet you have lots of folks among the SnakeForce who will devour all the technical concepts & details of your work. Not as formal (yet) as a Scientific paper but helping to expand the foundations of a much deeper appreciation of what came before. Thank you.

kzbin.info/www/bejne/fKDOnWt5Z51ljrs ........and this is why the work the of Russ and Kyle and Ben and Adam, Karoly, Jahannah, Matt Beall, Chris Dunn and many others is so important. Standing on the shoulders of adventurers such as Petrie, Breasted, Piazzi Smyth, and latterly Hancock, Bauval, West and Dunn, you are revealing to us the amazing abilities of the Egyptian peoples and their extraordinary capacity to work in stone! I had no idea that this room was essentially a box in a box! Fascinating stuff, but more importantly, I am grateful that you are offering this to the interested masses. Keep going!!!

The collapsed mud-brick superstructure of the black pyramid, (built by the dynastic middle kingdom), was possibly built over an older structure of limestone and granite!

It is substantially the software, there are laptops with lots of memory through. It does take lots of memory, but memory doesn't take lots of power. The GPUs take lots of power. The top nvidia Jetson module has 64gb of memory and 275tflops of compute at 60 watts, for about $2k. Just need those nerds a workin.
@satireofcircumstance6458Ай бұрын
Russ, rather than facing the camera, you should look off into the middle distance like Kyle does in the Snake Bros thumbnails. It adds an air of authority. Kyle's thumbnail photos have convinced me that he's practically a credentialed archeologist at this point.
