Get used to it, because that will be a trend here, and not just as a joke, but literally the world seems inclined to underestimate or diminish everything about poor Makoto for some reason. It almost makes you think that this is literally because of the Goddess.

@@diostaku2 It makes sense in context. The Goddess gives blessings according to beauty, so Makoto should by all logic be at the bottom of the barrel right next to demihumans. Luckily for him Tsukiyomi was a bro.

He did get some pretty great plot circumstance though with the close gathering he has so I wouldn't say "poor Makoto" about that, just how he is perceived by everyone outside his circle. But I'd like to hear The Brother's speculation on why he's lvl 1 at the end of the show (which I know, they are done filming already by the time this is uploaded).

A super inconsequential spoiler, in the manga, Tomoe recently revealed in secret from Makoto that she's distressed over the knowledge that Makoto will one day die, leaving her behind. Made me really feel for her as a character because it really shows how much she loves him.

You guys will learn more about Makoto with each and every episode, Makoto archery was not your regular archery style. The way he shoots is different from those of sports or hunting. I hope you guys caught onto some small hints and clues about Makoto ability itself altho Anime do left a lot out compare to the Manga.
