I recently picked up a 93 Fleetwood brougham with 52k miles. Just an awesome riding and driving road car. Thanks for the comparison 👍

Thanks for pointing all awesome interior lights and translucent dashboard lights. Little things but they just made these cars all the more special.

As some one who owns several of each generation, the older version is the better looker but the newer version is the better rider. The older generation is more ornate and has a lot of presence. It is possibly the perfect luxury car design, handsomely appointed with excellent proportions. The seats on the d’Elegance versions are unbeatable and the over-boosted pinky steering is fantastic. The newer generation rides better, though. It is so quiet, smooth, and soft, yet doesn’t pitch or wallow much for its size, and doesn’t creek or rattle. It’s an amazing ride and feels like a tank. It also really moves well when equipped with the LT1. Older ones just don’t quite live up to the confidence of that engine. The quality is generally better on the older ones, but you get a bit more tech with the newer ones. Both are amazing cars, though, so why choose if you can get both?

Yea, memory seats were an option…….had them on my ‘85 Eldorado. Rarest I have seen them was on a ‘85 Eldorado convertible, meaning, the door panel controls were from a Brougham, with the 4 window switches, mirror control, seat control and then the memory seat control.

I love that title. Brogham vs Brogham.

Love the comparison 👌 Had 89 Brougham deElegance and 93 Brougham. Quality of everything (such as carpet) was lower . Mine had plush velvet interior 😃 and felt like a king 🤴 in a SOLID bank vault. Although newer ones are often praised for bigger motor, my 89 had more than ample power. Had issues including rust on 93. Generally 93 seemed like Cadillac on a budget 🤔 (though certainly not budget priced)! NEVER should have let the 89 get away!!! ❤ 💙 💜

I had an 86 FWB and presently have a 95 Fleetwood, with 15,000 miles on the Odometer. The 86 rode nicer, and the Interior was much nicer with the D'Elegance. Both have Velour Seats which are more Comfortable than Cowhide

Differences among Cadillac Brougham of 1991 and Cadillac Brougham of 1993, so merely the evolution of both cars, these cars of 1991 and of 1993 are different.

Both are nice cars, but I'll take the 91 all day, I actually had one for 15 years, I have an 88 now... basically the same car... I've owned tons of Cadillacs, the last good style would be the DTS, after that all junk... except for the trucks.... ESV's etc...

I see the Steering Wheel has Tooth/Face/Chest Buster attached to it. I thought those were illegal to use on a Street Vehicle

I would think that the 1993 is quieter at speed because of the smoother body.

Just curious on the 1991, why were the front seatbelts contained in the doors? I've seen the in older cars made from about the mid 80s or so to about the early to mid 90s. And they were only GM cars I've noticed. A lot of older Buicks and some Pontiacs seem to have that weird front seatbelt that I've noticed from time to time.

That was something that the government was mandating back in the day a lot of cars had those automatic seat belts.... It was around from like 87-93. Cadillac only had him on these BROUGHAM from 1990 to 92. On my 93 that I had in the video They put him back into the B pillar.

@@ryanscarobsessions4629 thank you! After reading your reply I google the research on automatic seatbelts, (never heard of that term till just now 🤭) and your right, around the late 80s around 1994, when air bags finally became universal on every car sold in the u.s., federal safety regulations called for a passive restraint system, which was provided by airbags on many models, however some older body styles could not be easily retrofitted for airbags, so the automatic seat belt, because you are able to leave it buckled and open the door, slide under and close the door, you are belted, satisfied this requirement. The system was a loophole to allow for the old body styles such as this 1991 Cadillac Brougham, to live it's way out until the next design cycle, in 1993, which got dual front airbags, and the front seat belts finally returned to their normal position.

I completely agree, Both are striking in the looks department. put the powertrain from the 94-96 Fleetwood's and the looks and interior of the 77-92 Broughams and you got a near perfect car. Thanks for watching

Here is a suggestion, compare the subtle but important differences of the 1993 thru 1996 Fleetwood Broughams. Would be interesting. The white one is a limo, right ? Not exactly apples to apples.

wow that 93 is real disappointment. its insane that they somehow made the car less luxurious but raised the price. Those could never compare to the gen before
@DavidPysnik Жыл бұрын
Not so fast about the supposed lack of luxury on the 93. The 91 looks the part and the seats are phenomenal, but with the exception of the steering, the later generation rides better, smoother, quieter, and softer, yet doesn’t overly wallow. If you get the LT1, the power is also far better. Unfortunately, the later generation gave up the over boosted steering for “speed sensitive” steering, which is a bit firmer than it should be. The interior is a bit more roomy on the newer version, too, given the width increase and there are tech improvements like traction control and antilock brakes. Both are great cars, but the 93 is not a disappointment by any means.

So the 91 has the TRADITIONAL CC. The 93 has the modern style CC.

93 is not luxurious as much as the 91. Also the 93 steering wheel is so ugly & bulcky. outside design 91 is much more majestic. all in all i go to the 91

The 91 Fleetwood Delg is better than a 1993 and 1996 all the way around the 1990 to 1992 Fleetwood is a better car and it looks like a pimp Cadillac when it's dress up plus the 1991 Fleetwood Delg has the 5' 7 Engine that everyone loves
