I like that it has the integrated solar panel. I also like the simplicity of operation. Looks to be a rough and ready unit. Thanks for sharing Mark!

It is a more heavy duty unit for sure. Emphasis on heavy. Thanks for commenting Steve

I do like the solar panels and that you can add an external panel. So, when are you going to open the YPC (Young Power Company)? 😁 Do subscribers get a power discount from the YPC? 🤪✌️🇺🇸🇨🇦

Hmm...I would probably lose money on the deal. Thanks for commenting

G'day Mark, well, integrated solar cant be a bad thing, and yes one would hope it'd cater for an add on panel, albeit on the low side, but sure, enough for top up and get out of strife applications. Glad you mentioned losses, there's always some with any device, that's the nature of physics, just comes down to how many. Speaking of physics, I do really like the "briefcase" design: however, I reckon it should be lay down and prop up orientated, rather than vertical and ..... lean over ....................... if you get my drift ; ) I also like the range of DC output adapter plugs, ...... we've all been down the ol' incompatibility track ; ) Considering it's inherently designed for out in the weather to capture sunlight ..... dunno about you mate, but it's often 4 seasons in one day here, .... so unattended, the low IP rating would be a real risk to one's investment. Yep, with ya on the battery indicator, I'd rather see a %. Though in fairness, I'm sure you've seen those types of displays continuously jump around all over the shop, making them a real pain to know where you're really at, kinda like loading up certain software on a PC ..... maybe it was the lesser of 2 evils. At the end of the day, I very much like the concept, a few tweaks even better, and I always appreciate you selecting interesting products to review for the benefit of your viewers. Cheers Duke.

Hi Duke. Good comments all. The goal of an all weather unit is elusive for sure, and yes, we can get all weathers here as well. A few more refinements and this could be a real winner. Thanks for commenting

Thanks for sharing, Mark. This seems like a great product, with a different design, and the integrated panels are a good idea. I just checked the site, and this is currently on sale at $595.88 which seems quite reasonable. I agree a digital state of charge readout would be better, or at least a greater number of bars for a better indication of ranges

Most welcome. Yes, the sale price is pretty good right now. Thanks for commenting

Only drawback to those solar panels is the whole unit has to be in the hot sun. Recommend to place unit in the shade and only panels in the sun. This is enough to prevent me from buying. ❤

I thought about that in testing and meant to ask the company about it. My bad for not following through. Thanks for commenting

One day I’ll get the money for a proper power station instead of those tiny portable one for you phone, but one with a built in solar panel that is borderline useless probably won’t be one, unless it’s basically free. Maybe next year I’ll have the money to buy a small one. They’d sure make camping for a week or two more care free

It's not meant to and it's not designed for that. It would easily fit in virtually any car or truck
