Gap was supposedly not just freenbeck couple there are also side couples but sadly they decided to part ways with idf . They didn’t renew their contract for idf so it ended up with freenbeck as main lead. Becky went through a lot, cried a lot due to the language but freen was there to give her the support that she can do it. They worked so hard for pink theory. But through hardship and tears, sacrificing everything just to make the series, everything was all worth it now. So glad they change the 1st one at ito na ang naging resulta. ❤❤ thank you for the honest reaction guys. Same din tayo ng iniisip tungkol dito.😅

Finally! hahaha I understand how you feel about this guys. Really glad that they totally changed the plot and everything from Pilot. As far as I know they did this Pilot to get sponsors for this series but unfortunately they did not get one, no one sponsored them, instead they received a huge backlash about it. Freen and Becky received a lot of criticism and hate after the pilot. Additionally, Sponsors are afraid that Gap may flop as there's no series made like this before. Thailand is dominated by BL series. But Saint and the team believed in FreenBeck's chemistry. They really want to push for a GL series. So Saint had to bet all in and used all of his savings including his mom's to finance this project and everyone, including freenbeck, work their asses off to have the GAP we all love now. I'm so so proud of them. They've come so far. ❤❤

I knew it would be really interesting to hear what you two had to say about this! Idk what it is you do as a job, but you're obviously involved in TV or movie production in some way, so you have more insight than most reaction YTs about the show's production. Completely agree, i'm so glad they went with the style they eventually did. But you can see FreenBeck's chemistry even back then when they weren't so experienced.

We both use to do films way back in college and ada had some acting experience as an indie artist. I used to do dop (camera works) and post edits, but I do advertising edits professionally! Just thought i’d mention. Thank you so much for your kind words, really! We do appreciate it so much. We love this show so much so we wanted to be honest as possible even though we initially agreed not to talk about technicals that often (some people on the comments gets offended) but we can’t help it 😅 To love this show is to love everything about it, even their initial flaws. I agree, their chemistry has always been innate, and truly the soul of the show.

I agree that their make-up and overall outfit on trailer looks sucks, but yeah I gave it a chance(to actually watch the series) and I'm glad it improved. Especially Sam's look, I'm really glad they make her more stylish and elegant on the actual series, such a relief 😌

There is a scene in the pilot trailer that received a huge backlash in Thailand to the point that it was put on their local news. Eventually, they removed the scene from the pilot trailer. So when you hear Freen and Becky talking about their "fall" at the beginning, they're talking about that. I believe it's still here on KZbin 😅

actually naging blessing in disguise pa yung pag scrap nila ng trailer na 'to, though aminado sila freen at becky na nahirapan sila to overcome yung backlash. Pinaliwanag ko na sa ilang reaction videos na nag comment ako na itong OG trailer ay nag rely talaga sa novel na medyo explicit. May mga nagsasabi na ok naman 'to, bakit naman yung ibang tandem sagad din mag wild.. Hanggang ngayon may mga nanghihinayang na bakit hindi na lang inadopt yung nasa novel. Tapos malalaman mo na yung photobook may mga hidden scenes na hindi umabot sa final cut 😢

I think it's because they did the taping for like 2 or 3 days. Nirush nila yung pag gawa ng pilot trailer. May deleted scene nga yan eh. Where mon "going down" on sam sa office table. That's why got criticized. Like becky was only 18 at that time they made it. She's too young. And she's 19 when they finished gap the series. That's why they scraped everything and start again.

yung two other girls na hindi nasali sa final cut hindi pumirma ng contract sa IDF (producer and agency ng Freenbeck) kaya kahit nakapagtaping na sila ng some scenes sa mismong series na nirevised pa ulit ung buong storyline without them, remember yung CHER and RISA? yun ung character nung 2 girls which is napunta sa ibang characters.. Isa pa, yung KADE dito eh hindi si KADE na kilala natin kasi nagkaconflict in something kaya napalitan not sure kung bakit.. Yung Actress naman na nakita nyo rito as SONG ung isang sister ni Sam pinalitan rin kasi need nya mamili kung itutuloy itong GAP and isa nya pang project so nadrop tong GAP, yung new SONG na actress sa final iba..and ung isang girl na kasama ni Mon sa office may conflict din sa sched or something kaya napalitan..actually I read somewhere na ung NOP eh hindi rin yan ung unang napili na actor pero sa early photoshoot yan na agad na NOP..and finally ung storyline nila Yuki and Tee meron din yan..nataping na nga i dont kno what happen pero para unspoken something ung nangyari kaya papansinin nyo may mga cut kapag kasali na sila sa scenes like ung parang magkasama sila sa room nung tinawagan sila ng MonSam for some spicy advice hahaha..

Yes or No is my introduction to GL, and it helped me understand my gayness is not something I should be ashamed of. P'Aom (Pie) was my girl crush for so long, and I had been shipping her with P'Tina (Kim). Anyway, I totally agree with everything you said here regarding the pilot teaser. The pilot was actually made for people to give attention to the series itself. It is made to attract sponsors, just like u said. The problem is hindi nga maganda yung make up, lighting, yung production and everythin it's too explicit. Fans and the thai GL community itself are not comfortable with it being a little too explicit, especially, Given the fact that becky, at that time is only 18 yrs old(kaka 18 lang nya). Feel nila masyadong na- sexualized yung dalawa, So yeah... madami talagang nag- critisize!! Pero may mga Magaganda din naman na secene na nawala, na hinsi nasama sa final cut. di ko na isa-isahin, alam nyo na yun. Hahaha😊 Thanks for the vid tho

I'm glad that pilot version never happened, but they were so wrong for not including office romance (elevator scene was 🔥), and tee & yuki storyline was cut, I wanted to see them getting together too, but overall, the idea was there, they've got the budget and everything was done perfectly (and yeah, the stairs did remind me of "yes or yes" crying scene a little bit)

From my understanding or what I heard from others was Noey (Tee) didn't signed a contract with Idol Factory so they cut the scenes between Tee and Yuki. I think that's also why episode 10 part 1 was replayed (from episode 9 part 4) for the most part because it was supposed to have a Tee and Yuki scene but they cut it.

Prior to the pilot and show, there were a lot of changes with the cast and characters, Nop, Kade, and the other two girls you saw in the pool scene were all switched with different actors/actresses. The other two girls were replaced by Cher and Risa. If you get a chance, take a look at their old videos/lives and interviews. You'll see the original cast before they had to change it due a number of reasons.
