Brown University Campus Tour

I filmed this comprehensive Brown University campus tour in May 2021 before graduating. When I think back about my happiest moments from the past four years, I remember small and seemingly arbitrary moments: passing by Blueno (a blue lamp bear sculpture that has since left the campus sadly) on the way to lecture and smiling, a classmate I just met giving me a thumbs up after I nervously presented our discussion points, or cramming three people into one twin XL dorm bed. Graduation has admittedly been more sad than sweet, but I am so so lucky and grateful for the memories I’ve made.

@@mokhinurernazarova Brown and the other Ivy League Schools don’t provide scholarships. Rather, they give financial aid based on each individual families ability to pay.

젊은 적에는 입시에 실패해서 그런가 나중에 돈만 많이 벌면 되겠지 했는데. 막상 나이 먹고 돈도 꽤 벌고 나니. 학벌에 대한 욕망이 꿈틀거리네요. 소위 지잡대 출신이긴 한데 그냥 좀 그렇네요. 아이비리그 학벌이면 정말 멋진 악세사리라고 생각합니다... 인맥도 좋고요... 군대 있을때 코넬대 출신 후임을 만났는데 학구열도 높고 바르더군요.... 아이비는 진짜 멋지다고 생각합니다... 특별하잖아요. 제가 학벌은 지잡이지만 아카데믹한 이야기를 꽤 좋아하는데 코넬대 후임은 막힘없이 잘 하더군요.....

Who is the one who put the Roman numerals on that John D Rockefeller building? They spelled it wrong… It says 1964, but in Roman numerals that’s not how it’s spelled. 1964 would be “MCMLXIV” and they did “MDCCCCLXIIII” which is incorrect. An average person I would understand mistaking this, but this was done at a university!? Obviously they didn’t get an expert to write it and just looked up certain numbers and put them together, but you can’t just do that with Roman numerals… Sad…

Thanks to the author of the channel for this fascinating video! It is interesting to see how people live in other countries! It is very important to know foreign languages on such trips.
