The best of the best. I got mine from my dad. He's still alive but decided that I can have it now. I'm 35 years old and I was happier than a kid on Christmas morning when I drove home with it. I've owned a few shotguns over the years, this is already my favorite one .

If it’s chambered for 3 inch magnum shells can it chamber 2 3/4 shells with no problems?

It will chamber them and fire them but will not cycle them even with the rings in the light position

⁠Thanks for your reply, originally wanted a Browning Auto 5 in 12 gauge. I can’t find any but the Light 12 Models. I want the normal weight behind the gun. I went with a Auto 5 Magnum 12 gauge. I saw on Arts Gun Shop Channel Browning doesn’t recommend 2 3/4 shells but you can adjust the rings and run heavier 2 3/4 shells. I can live with that.

flat knob, I've seen where that was introduced in 1967. Might be 1967 or newer? right above serial # should be V ?, ? will be the year.

I was at the Browning museum and the curator said the reason Browning went from round to flat was the cost. Also had problems with the fla5 first
