I had a day out with the b725 sporter 2 last week. It was very good.. Realy fits me well. Felt great in the hand to me. I think im going to go for this one .pro sport is more expensive and i have a spending limit. Cheers.

Thanks Lloyd for review. Now I'm really sure to buy a second hand one with a good price and care. I tested in a journey and I agree with you about the balance and specially the grip. That's the most confortable I tried ever. I like very much this shotgun, much better than a pair Berettas I tried. S2 for me, much confortable than the italians. Been using the adjustable version a while now and it’s never beaten me up on 100 bird sporting days, and that’s using hull super fast cartridges, however it could be because I got the gun fitted correctly for me, the comb has been lifted and moved over etc guess that’s the beauty of adjustable comb models.

Thanks for these reviews really enjoying them. I bought a 725 Black in April and love the look and feel but also feel like I am getting beat up a bit. A few experienced people I trust have had a look and think it fits me, so I am keen to try something else like a Guerini or Miroku for comparison.

How long have you been shooting Ben? Best bet is to take yourself to a dealer and get the gun fitted professionally. They may not be able to do anything but if you like everything else about the gun, it would be a shame to change for the sake of getting the stock reshaped.

Lloyd Pattison thanks. Started shooting again last year at the age of 30 after not shooting since I was 17. Pretty much forgot everything and having to relearn! I think a bit of it may have been me trying too hard as it has been better since I have loosened up a few months ago. But did a 100 today and still got a bit of a sore cheek so a gun fit on the comb might help. Thanks for the feedback.

Great review as always Lloyd, I really like your vids and your honesty. Yes the recoil is hard on the shoulder and that’s what I need to know first then the ease of using the shotgun. 😄

They are very definitely not ambidextrous. I assume there is a left handed but I've never seen one myself.

Lloyd, as you know, Browning has different model names for the US compared to the rest of the world. In an effort to steer clear of this gun, what is the US name for this model? I looked on Browning's site and I did not find it.Thanks Chris

I don't think the US Citori model line up has the same stock dimensions as the UK versions.

In short, no. Spend a little more and get a pro sport that includes the weighting system and an adjustable stock, it's a much better gun.

I bought the US version of the “Pro Sporting” which is basically the same as the standard adjustable comb 725 but comes in a $170 Negrini case and stock counter weights, not nearly as nice as your ProSport. Mine weighs in at 8lbs-2oz without the stock weights, and 8lbs-8.4oz with the weights. With this weight and the porting it doesn’t recoil that bad, but more than the Caesar Guerini Summit or the the even softer shooting Fabarm Elos N2. After 3 months of shooting it I think the Browning is a fine starter gun, but they are not refined as the Italian or German guns I shot. If your going to buy a Browning in the EU, I would recommend saving and getting the better ProSport. But if you’re in the USA market just get the standard adjustable stock version, for the for the “Pro Sporting” isn’t worth the extra $500!

@@lloydyp The S2 incorporates the weighting system albeit the weights are sold separately. Apart from the colour change in the stripe it is about the only difference between the S1 and the S2.

Hate browning creepy triggers, find the recoil pulse tends to push my trigger finger on to the second joint for the second shot, and effect firing the second barrel not a gun for me, probably protrap is the best of a bad bunch of guns.
