The Gun Shop Thanks, unless I have missed it and you have done a vid in this! Snap caps. Should they be in for storage and should (excuse my inaccurate terminology) the pins be de cocked as in pull the triggers to release them for storage? Sorry if this is a stupid question

Jon, great video, but as you did a video on the Beretta silver pigeon ejectors, explaining how the mechanism actually works, could you do the same with the Browning showing how the forearm mechanism loads and fires these ejectors? Maybe?

Brilliant, simple, thank you. Quick question, is there any risk associated with removing the ejectors to clean them every time I shoot? For example wearing the tiny screw thread or it's seat in the barrel?

Could you do a video on how to remove ejectors from the old Japanese made Winchester 101s? Can't find any information on how to remove them on the internet. I'm sure its simple but I have been unable to figure it out on my own. Thank you.

Hello. Is there a way to deactivate my ejectors on my Browning Citori Lighting 20ga.? I hate leaving spent shells I can't find in the woods..
@Noskunk4me

I don't know if the ejectors on the Lightning are different than my Citori, but I replaced the ejector springs with firing pin springs from a 1911 .45 semi-automatic pistol. Yeah, you read that right! Sounds a little unconventional, but the swap out was pretty easy, and it essentially converts your Citori from ejectors to extractors. The lighter springs will lift the spent shell up enough so that you can grab it with your thumb and forefinger, but will not pop them out of the gun completely. If you do a Google search, you can find details and where to buy the replacement springs. Note of caution: Be careful of the spring tension of the original springs. It takes a bit of doing to get them out of the gun. Good luck!

I take my ejectors out altogether. Always have. My dad did to my first field gun to keep the shells from popping out on to the ground. It forced me to remove my empties and put them in my pocket for tossing in the trash later. And...I hate popping shells when I shoot trap or skeet. Just kind of a preference for me.

If you learn to catch them when they eject it makes the process faster and more fluid than taking them out by hand. But at the same time if no ejectors is what works for you than if it ain’t broke don’t fix it haha

WOW! I remember when we used to give speeches in school. They had to be X minutes long, maintain eye contact, use body language... Who knew, all we had to do was talk about removing a single screw for over 4 minutes.
