Very well presented and some interesting information. It's a shame that 29mhz AM is not as active these days. When I am on 10 meters I always tune around and even give some CQ calls. Occasionally I get a reply. It would be good to hear that Browning on there. I bet it sounds AND hears great. Thanks de M1DEN

I don't get to spend much time on the air, but when I do I'm usually seeking out exotic DX trying to do a lot with very little and it's quite rewarding. I will pretty much be parked on 10 a.m. on the weekends when time allows looking for activity and hanging out on the call freq of 29 mhz. 73 & to hear you on 10 AM, Gregg s9radio

@s9radio Thanks Gregg. It's a similar situation on this side. But I try to make time on a weekend going portable as I am not QRV from my home QTH. When the band is open into the USA I can usually work it from after your sunrise or my afternoon onwards. If you hear me on the air then give me a shout. Cheers and beers. Lee

I take my hat off, because this project is one that you really have to want to do. You can operate QRP with the transmitter alone or pump it up to a more reasonable level. The receiver is more problematic. Unlike the Mark 2, the Mark 3 doesn't have a Collins filter, but it does have an extra IF stage. It doesn't have a product detector but uses a simple BFO to resolve the sideband signals.

How do you set a Bias Mark 3?
@s9radio2 ай бұрын
Watch the video again. You adjust the R55 adjustment on the back panel of the Browning and center the meter's needle in the middle of the bias box / marker. 73-Gregg s9radio

It's as simple as plugging a crystal into a socket. Nothing more
