Unfortunately, it seems that the NFL is turning into a stale indoor sport with no natural elements at all. The only "outdoor" stadium being currently built is in Buffalo, but one day they'll likely close the top on that as well. As the saying goes, have to keep up with the Jones's (in this case, Jerry Jones...when he built that stadium in Dallas, everybody else wanted one thereafter).

@@retrowarehouse2554However, the majority of the suburbs do come from the West, as well as the majority West Side Cleveland. Honestly for the East Side it doesn’t change too much for the suburbs. Chester, Euclid, 90, but you get on then get off then scramble to find parking. There’s no good Transit to the East at least that I would trust with parking besides (University Heights Station by Case) At most it would add 10 minutes total drive time, in my opinion. Downtown Cleveland from the east is really just not as accessible by car or transit as it is for the west. Unless you are okay with getting buses as that is your best option. You would still have to park somewhere though. However, I do see what you are saying about the East suburbs but I think it wouldn’t cause much change. About 40% said they would settle for Brook Park location IF the dome was as cool as the renderings. All of that 40% said “we wish they could just build this dome downtown”. The 50% said Browns football should be played outside and they appreciate the elements, renovate the stadium and call it a day. The other ~10% said put a roof on the current stadium. Moral of the story: every single Browns fan i spoke with at the game Saturday wants the Browns downtown. They realize how important they are to Cleveland’s economy. Some are swayed because they think Brook Park is the only option for the dome, when in reality there is plenty of space available in downtown, the flats, Burke airport, or midtown if not immediately adjacent to the existing stadium.

The issue is Haslam has really next to no control with the Art Modell rule that’s on the books in the state of Ohio and that applies to even moving the team next-door to the city next to Cleveland. The way the rule is structured. It prevents them from moving. Haslam could challenge it in the Supreme Court, but that would take years time that he doesn’t have in time that he could’ve spent trying to get the stadium deal done. Kind of was the point of the rule to begin with when the original Browns moved to Baltimore. Basically delay until they get the agreement they want Haslam knows very well since he used the rule in his favor to get the Columbus Ohio soccer team. According to Haslam, he publicly said either Brooke Park or renovations of the existing stadium. Well the mayor a week prior to the rendering being revealed gave him the $400 million renovation he wanted for the existing stadium. And now apparently on top of the hour, News just broke that the Brooke Park county will not approve a stadium in Brook Park. This is definitely gonna be a cat and mouse game.

They just had The Rolling Stones in June, just had WWE SummerSlam this month, are going to have Billy Joel next month and in the past, two Monster Jam shows, outdoor hockey for Ohio State and the Winter Classic for the AHL. Along with a Joan Jett, Poison, Def Leppard and Mötley Crüe tour and an MGK tour 2 years ago. They want more and want more big events for the city and for people outside of the city to come here. as a clevelander idc im happy they're moving the stadium ,this new stadium will be closer to me , besides i want a dome , everyone who's complaining will still come , i know im going

Why? It takes revenue from a city that’s poor already. Devastating blow to downtown and the city
@kathleenszekely3 ай бұрын
As long as we have such a crap team, does it really matter where the mess is located? As long as fans keep showing up for this kind of team, that's all we will ever have.

Domes are for idiots...who cares...we understand it is expensive...how long would it take to make 2 billion dollars back maybe using in 12 extra times a year for other stuff

I want a dome but I’m not crazy about the sterile, corporate environment that will come with Brook Park along with more expensive tickets

Angels baseball fan my whole life. We are 20 miles outside of LA and have that as our city name. None of it makes sense.

The whole Los Angeles Angels thing is stupid. They should’ve just stuck to the Anaheim Angels or the California Angels. Their ballpark is in Anaheim, therefore they should be the Anaheim Angels.

I think it’s great for the area it’s a business move. They’re still the Browns and guess what you’ll be able to do park. What people can’t drive 14 miles away the fans act like they’re moving them to Columbus

I've got an idea that no one else has mentioned. MOVE THE TEAM to another city. This current ownership and coaching is the worst yet they want us, the taxpayers to pay for 8 games a year.
@cichlidlover275 ай бұрын
Build it on Burke Airport right by the current stadium and tear down the old stadium and use that land for parking? I would never take them 14 miles out of Cleveland
@evian99995 ай бұрын
Burke Lakefront Airport sits on landfill and couldn't support the weight of a giant stadium unfortunately. Also, they'll never close that airport (unfortunately).

Browns will not stay by the lake, it's time for a move. It's a frozen tundra and the city knows it

The Cavs played in Richfield before their current digs at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse. I just don't think the Browns need a dome. Super Bowl's never coming here. Forget it. Current stadium is fine

If the weak Cleveland fans ever want to see major late season playoffs or a Super Bowl played in Cleveland a dome stadium is necessary.
