One of the reasons I stopped playing anything else than ARAMS as a low elo support player. Some kids are just vile. And as I was exposed to it for hours and hours its hard to not let it change how you act as well. You build up an inner resentment and at that point its not funny or healthy anymore.

Well no offence but you must be letting it get to you. You have to mute and think about averages. You don’t need to win all your games, just 50%+. I always think the best advice to climb (certainly out bronze, silver and gold) is mute all and indeed I keep chat turned off permanently.

Toxic players need to understand they are where they belong. 95% of the toxicity stems from believing you'd never make the mistakes you see + anime protagonist syndrome. A lot of that comes from toxic streamer culture (challenger player in bronze hard carry 40-0 1v9 flames inting teammates wet dream type video) but some of that is typical of a certain age group as well..

This elo is really brutal when it comes to toxicity. I played on gold elo for like 10 years now and i feel that playing without chat is really viable, just becouse you dont get angry when people are toxic. Like imagine you have 100 games. In how many of them do you really HAVE to use chat? In my experience its like maybe 10. Like if you have to type to your team the "plan". For instance you tell them "guys, lets split and then baron". Yeah it helps but you can always just turn the chat on in options. In the rest 90 games you come across such toxicity it's unimaginable. So for me it's not even funny after my 11 years combined in league. It doesn't make me laugh it makes me angry and I play worse becouse of that. Nice of you guys that you tried to calm Gwen down but i'd really recomment just muting chat all together in options for lower elo players. PS: I love your content Broxah and love the positive vibe. I wish you well

@@tobu0074 I don't think its true to all smurfs but 4 sure there is a lot of them. Just becouse they see 100 times more mistakes than their teammates and winning league is not that complex. You just have to stick to basic concepts and use math. Lower elo players don't do that so when some1 better is there to see it they might be raging

There are ways to calm someone like that down. Normally the standard strat I use is to abuse the fact that they have main character syndrome. Something like "So you are letting the enemies win because you let them get into your head, which is exactly what they want? Thought you were tougher, but I guess I was wrong" This makes it so they kinda want to show it to you that they are so good at the game. Other tactics are just dropping compliments in insults, for example "Dude will you shut the fuck up, you are such a good player but you just start inting as soon as something isn't going your way" Basic psychology is normally all you need to get your team back on track

If League elo works anything like Apex elo, consecutive wins result in almost-exponential LP gain. 43 for one win, but for 6 wins in a row you're looking at big gains.

Low ELO is indeed very toxic. I don't think people playing at high ELO, and have been there for near a decade if not more, realize how toxic LoL became from around Season 3 and up. That's when I began and at that time I was terrified to play Ranked because of how angry people got the moment you made one mistake. Or even if it was not a mistake at all, but they didn't LIKE it. I jungled in Season 4 or so. I was "decent" at it. DARING to as much as LOOK at minions could earn you the ire of Silver/Gold players so badly they would flame you for the rest of the match and shriek for reports ceaselessly. It was like walking on a single pane of glass that could shatter at any moment. It broke my desire to play that position permanently and it has continued doing so until now. Climbing naturally is not a thing any longer. You have to be exceptional for the rank. If you're Silver IV and want to carry, you have to be Gold IV MINIMUM level. Otherwise you're just going to coinflip it. Likewise Gold IV carry you NEED to be Plat IV to reliably carry and the same story if you want to climb out of Plat IV. The amount of rage you get for being "average" of that rank is insane and the only way to avoid the scrutinizing eye of your team mates is to perform exceptionally. Then you earn a win and maybe even an honor. Yay. But that one game where you go 3/7/2 among dozens of 15/3/8 style games.. you are immediately the worst player of this ELO and the flaming began from the first moment you died. The only way to avoid this bullshit is to actually mute others.. and that might well become a reason for losing. Low/Mid-ELO players are staggeringly hard to please. Even people who WANT to win struggle with this and ruin their chances of victory just because they have to let off steam. I fail there at times too, but usually only with sarcasm and only some 20+ minutes into the game where everything has gone to shit to begin with. Inexcusable still, but sometimes you might just have to let people know that they are animals.. knowing that deep down when they have cooled off they might actually reflect a TINY bit on what you said.

This is normal in bronze.... You got a 50% percent, to got players in your team....that they fail in lane phase and they said that others players are the reason of their feeding .... Bronze Top----> i lose my lane by jungler.... Bronze mid and jungler-----> ohhhhh my bot lane always lose.... tilted by top who chatting them and pinging them..... Bronze adc----> my support sucks again or riot making adc role weak :'(....Bronze Support -----> pinging everyone, tilted everyone, trolling everyone, thinking they re fakers....
