2:48,The wire is not a generator. It is to clear the preheating tube. It depends on the quality of gas, the tube will get some tar even carbonated tar. That’s the purpose of that wire. After you put off the fire, you’d better open the valve one or two seconds to clean the nozzle or else the heat will carbonate the residual oil and the tinny hole will be jammed of 10 to 15 times using. The left over cooler oil will be vaporized.

If you drip a little fluel into the priming cup and set fire to it, the stove will start easier. The stove burns fuel vapour, so the fuel needs to to be pre-heated. This is the purpose of the vaporiser tube that runs over the hot stove.

How long can be used? I bought one and I can feel that there's is getting hot between the container and the flame, so I felt worry about any increase in pressure due the rise of temperature inside the gas container, other question, how many and how frequently is required press the pressure pump, how often?
@viewsandreviews13694 жыл бұрын
Hector Luevano cant answer the first one as there is no emergency valve, for the second one i do 5-10 strikes just in the beginning to create initial pressure.
@danielmitchell58142 жыл бұрын
Dont worry for anything, the cap of tank has emergency release machenism in it. When it reaches over pressure, the cap releases it. Of course its a stove, it will get hot, it wont blast at all 🤣🤣🤣. I have been using these stoves on daily basis in camping training, its aafe and reliable. Once we fill the tank, we gave it maximum pressure, then set the whole stove on fire by poring petrol in it, NOTHING HAPPENED, it was just a test, though we roasted one BRS 12A, but we are sure now that it wont blast in any situation.

@bigstick52782 жыл бұрын
Let it cool off then slowly open the fuel cap, you'll hear a hissing noise then nothing.. When storing don't tighten the cap to tightly as it will deform the O ring with a permanent groove, you want the O-ring flat as it will create a nice surface to seal..

If you're going to store this for a long period of time, make sure to empty it out and burn off what's left in the generator. Otherwise, it will gum up. Also, once in awhile, put a thimble full of acetone with a 2/3 tank fuel load to clear out the gunk.

Good video but my little Coleman is boiling stuff in 2 mins and doesn't set fire to the table? Doesn't need a separate supply of alcohol to light it. Most people don't get on with them because they don't pump them enough. Why is this better? Just asking... I like these prime movers.
@viewsandreviews13694 жыл бұрын
black5f Coleman is my one of the first choices, I would take this one if a fuel quality is not guaranteed (no white gas) and no spare generator during continuous use.

@@viewsandreviews1369 Hi. Think I agree. I run mine on regular unleaded (what its called in UK) and if you leave them too long in storage they gum up and misbehave (so do the lamps). The jets are small and while I'm confident in the supply, transferring it to smaller containers you can easily get contamination which is hard to budge. I was looking for a funnel with a filter ... might have to make my own from a car gas filter. I just re read my first post and it sounded critical ... sorry, it was not meant like that at all. I love the self contained nature of these things. I did a little (very amateur) review my self last week. Nothing commercial, I'm trying to persuade a friend to get one. Thanks for the response!

@@anest-uk Hi, sorry, basically disassemble. If you find a proper hardware shop you can get "prickers" to clean them. Mines never got blocked. They can gum up so regular use is a must. if its actually blocked then thats in the fuel and it need a good clean out of will just do it again?
@gweedomurray99239 ай бұрын
I saw a better done video by another man and you don't need to use alcohol. He said with 3/4 of a full tank to pump it 30 times, open the valve a bit and look for some fuel to wet the fireproof mesh and then light. The table was burning only because this guy had tipped it causing some wet alcohol to spill over. I see alcohol as just a cleaner burning way of priming as the the fuel itself will burn a dirty yellow until the vaporizer tube is good and hot and your flame will then be coming through the nozzle.

I have one and a coleman 533. The BRS12a is complete and total rubbish. This stove produces about 20% of the heat that a Coleman 533 does. I did a boil test of a kettle of water - 2 minutes 15 for the Coleman, ELEVEN minutes for this one..... using the same fuel. The nozzle gums up after a few hours use, the flame becomes inconsistent - burning mainly on one side, it is supplied with a couple of sentences of English on the label and a few more instructions on a tag in Chinese. There is no manual to describe care and maintenance or how to disassemble it to change the nozzle from gasoline to ethanol or diesel - even though it came with replacement nozzles. Basically buy a real stove, this is rubbish. Anyone reviewing it as anything other than crap clearly didn't spend their own money on it like I did....regretfully.
