Not sure why it did show up on my suggested videos today, but my first experience of Bruce was in "How the West Was Won" as Luke Macahan. I have to check Tron since it was so long ago I watched it that I didn't realize he was there. But he did a great character in Babylon 5. I think that we don't appreciate all the hard working actors enough that often have to resort to temporary roles or in less appreciated shows while some actors are over-used in so many roles that you start to confuse their roles and movies. One of the greatest thing with Babylon 5 was that the characters evolved so much - which made the story a lot more realistic.

How the West was Won was my favorite show at the time and Babylon 5 is my favorite show of all time. But I've never seen an episode of Scarecrow and Mrs King.

"And the original Wild, Wild West was probably the original Steampunk TV show." God damn, but I love me some Boxleitner: he nailed the origin of Steampunk; I though only myself and four friends remember that origin point.
@Allan_aka_RocKITEman6 жыл бұрын
kurtjk01 >>> If by "origin point" you specifically mean TWWW, I *remember* it as well. FWIW: Just last year, I happened to come across a DVD box set of the entire series at a Walmart I was shopping at, and I *grabbed it* immediately....

He's a great actor, and deserved a lot better than these crappy TV movies he's been doing lately (especially the SyFy Channel ones!).

Lantern City has a website and Bruce is on Twitter - try supporting via either of those. I can't post links in comments, sorry. If I hear of any petition or any other way of showing support, I'll be sure to pass it on via FB, G+, Twitter, my website etc.

Eh! that would be super if Bruce and Kate did Scarecrow and Mrs. King....if CBS does not buy it as a television...how about a tv movie...have the dvds and pre-ordered season 4 and cannot wait....Conny

Steam punk sounds like making a future Sci Fi society for the mere survival in a different world place than here and now; using advanced development of present conventional technological theories! Not necessarily fighting against aliens; but technical problems and social problems, arising in confronting obstacles in a dangerous alien place! Ultimately creating a self sufficient world with a strange mix of conventionally understood principles, that tend to emancipate the characters from their tired old former lives!

Yes I think so too. TBH I loathed the captain of the Enterprise tv series. Later I learnt that he chose that style that was an imitation of John Wayne (shudder but he did it well, I just don’t like John Wayne’s style). I found him VERY disconcerting and was disappointed someone like Bruce Boxleitner didn’t get the role.

Here’s something revolutionary in re a Scarecrow and Mrs. King Revival: how about NOT having the parents be doddering idiots, and let it be wisdom plus youthful enthusiasm, with each side making their mistakes and contributing their strengths. Makes a much more interesting show, appeals to all generations, and no one generation has to look like idiots. All those stale jokes have been done to death. Think outside the box instead.
