This is an absolutely stunning performance. It is a singer songwriter guitarist at the top of their powers.

This is from one year before I discovered Bruce (U.S. fan). Bruce is so amazing. He knows that words are worlds, his musicianship is unparalleled. ❤

Guitar virtuoso par excellénce! This is what Michael Hedges was talking about when he said BC was one of the best guitar players alive! And “All the Diamonds” remains one of the most beautiful songs ever written.

Bright Sky man! Love him forever. I get to hear Bruce (again - 8th concert over the years, beginning in 1980) in Lincoln, NE this Valentines Day together with my sweetie. I'll be calling out Bright Sky as a request for sure.

This concert is a dream set list from this phase in Bruce's career. I always thought that the guitar on Bright Sky was multi-tracked in the studio and perhaps it was, but it is stunning to see and hear how full and rich the guitar sounds when Bruce played it solo, live...like multiple guitars in unison. A brilliant artist and musician. Thank you for posting this show!

Amazing show at the old Forum at Ontario Place - one of the first Bruce shows I attended. “Lions” is still pretty new here - there’s no applause when he starts it! Love his smile though as he encourages the audience to sing through the chorus!

I remember he introduced 'Lions' as a new song. This was two or three months before 'Dancing in the Dragon's Jaws' was released.

This is dope'! I joined Bruce’s 1977 concert in Japan, and have been searching early days video. Almost none. His acoustic days music is such a beauty. Many thanks. Ps I posted sound file of 1977 concert on KZbin.

The studio version of Water Into Wine is impossible enough, but this one defies logic and description. I've been trying for months to figure out how he plays some bits, but he's so fast, even watching him do it is no use. Anybody up to discuss it?

The lead lines against the thumb bass are insane even for him. Drop D, I guess, tuning-wise.

I searched but could not find anything about the band members in this show. No credits from the production which is unusual. What is edited out? From the sound and arrangements could it be the some or all of the same band featured on Circles In The Stream from 1977? Any response is appreciated.
@timchesterton2 жыл бұрын
If I remember correctly it was Robert Boucher on bass, Bob DiSalle on drums, and maybe Pat Godfrey on marimba.
