i was fortunate enough to run 3km with Bruce during a 21km race in Johannesburg earlier this year. he was such a treat and spoke kindly and told us about the history of the race we were doing and the club hosting the race. he’s a special human being.

When I was a child competing in the national cross country championships, Bruce was always my hero. I remember visiting Johannesburg with my family (I was about 11) and we saw Bruce running through the suburbs. I couldn't believe it.
