@@TheLuciferHill Everything about your comment is wrong. The title literally says that he challenged her. He challenged her bc he thought it would be an easy win, since he's a guy. You can clearly see the moments where he just rushes her, and tries to exert his strength on her, bc he thinks that being male is all he needs to win. Cowards like him go for easy targets bc they want to feel good about themselves. He's a coward. I'm not going to argue with you on this. That’s the power of sparring and the ultimate weakness of “karate”. Point sparring and Kata mean nothing. Once you get punched it all goes out the window and fight or flight takes over. My company, LA Boxing did more white collar boxing than most gyms and we would see the same thing with people that took classes for years then got in the ring for the first time to spar. On the bag and until they get hit they look like Muhammad Ali. Once they get hit they turn into Freddy Ali… 😜😂 If “karate” styles just actually sparred like boxer’s or Muay Thai they might actually be a little prepared. But their moves are for “killing” so it’s just too dangerous 😂😂😂

I used to think that the strength difference between the sexes is probably not *that* great since I dislike gender stereotypes, but with all the recent political debates I looked into what the science has to say, and the differences especially in upper body strength actually seem quite ridiculous, and you have to keep that in mind while watching something like this. If she had that extra power that higher testosterone gives you, I think that guy would have dropped down pretty soon even though he doesn't seem that bad himself.

A major strength of boxing training over traditional martial arts is the focus on dodging punches while staying in close. I trained karate for a few years and I sparred with someone who had some boxing training and you just can't hit those guys with punches. They are so skilled at moving their head and upper torso quickly and instinctively from hundreds of hours of drills that traditional martial arts don't really practice.

Think about this: In the instant that you decide to become the new Bruce Lee, you're already straying from his philosophy. "To me, ultimately, martial arts means honestly expressing yourself. Now, it is very difficult to do. It has always been very easy for me to put on a show and be cocky, and be flooded with a cocky feeling and feel pretty cool and all that. I can make all kinds of phoney things. Blinded by it. Or I can show some really fancy movement. But to experience oneself honestly, not lying to oneself, and to express myself honestly, now that is very hard to do." - Bruce Lee How can you honestly express yourself as a martial artist if you're constantly trying to be like Bruce? The mere act of even attempting to emulate Bruce, opposes one his most fundamental principles as a martial artist which is to be yourself and express yourself.

He was outclassed before he put on the gloves . Yes it was over by the end of the first round, but I think anyone who dares to compare themselves to the late , great MR. Bruce Lee deserved a lot of humbling for all to witness. Whatever he studied must have been on line and self paced for free. He dropped out or failed to complete any of them. You spoke of generating power , and many focus on showmanship to demonstrate such ability. But competition in the ring, rarely is ended with one blow. Boxing is a science of breaking down ones opponent , using the jab to set up your other shots and keeping the other guy from getting inside, where its difficult to land effective blows. A good combo is a jab to the face then than a shot to the stomach followed by a hook to the jaw. Jab vets tge arms up exposing the ribs , hit the ribs arms drop and breathing becomes work and hurts to do , once the hands xrop the head is exposed, the jaw whips the head around and lights go out. Or at least you scored points on a clean combination, all this while out trying to outlast the guy and hopefully not getting hit to many times. Most fights are decided by points , more for the winner of a round. If it goes the distance the winner is who scored more points.

Im a JKD practitioner and this guy only had the "looks" of Bruce Lee. He is doing things completely not in principle of a basic fighting stance. He has that lead hand down is because he basically want to copy Bruce Lee. Bruce Lee does that because he is very confident of his skills and having it down does not mean that you "know" JKD. This guy just pretty much copied him aesthetically. He definitely should keep that lead hand up and protected at all times. Pretty much like a boxer. And the biggest take away is that all of his attacks are "rounded" swings. The basic fundamental is the "straighest" line punch at the most shortest distance and not a lot of circular movements. Hence why the 1 inch punch principle. Hopefully it makes sense on how I explained it lo It is basically a boxing method of a jab with rotational on the waist and your hind leg in turn. Pretty much putting your weight behind the punch. The idea is to blind your opponent that when a punch coming at you... You don't see the fist coming at you due to circular movements but the fist just gets bigger until it "hits" you without knowing it. 😅

This dude knows nothing about PRACTICAL martial arts. Who in their right mind would "punch" like that among real martial arts practitioners? Does not even know how to throw a proper punch ! 😂

The boxing girl got serious hands, her footwork is at point, her head movement is insane. That Bruce Lee wanna be is no where close to Bruce Lee. Yo bros, if any of you want to go in the ring with a boxer, know boxing first. Kung Fu hands won't work with boxing gloves and do some serious cardio as well. The real Bruce Lee won't agree in a boxing match with a boxer, he definitely go to MMA with MMA gloves go with philly shell and do a lot side punch, jabs, sidekicks and low kicks. The boxing girl own this dude. Lol

@FightCommentary I'm fundamentally a Taijii guy who currently trains mostly boxing and baguazhang. Whenever I watch things like this, what I never see is the 'taiji' guy using any taiji, which actually DOES have some goodies that can be deployed in boxing (IME). Trouble is, those goodies work in clinch/infighting range, and most taiji people have no clue how to work their way safely into that range (I never learned this from taiji, only from boxing and some from muay thai). I may be biased, but I truly think bagua and tai chi develop some interesting and useful qualities and skills - the lack is in never learning to work them in live and challenging contexts. That said, I think they should stay specialising in what they specialise in and leave the development of good fighting fundamentals to other arts (otherwise what they do offer that is unique will be lost).

That twerp was smirking at the beginning - the shit sandwich she fed him wiped it away. Also, he at least could’ve gotten fit enough to attempt to fight this girl. Instead, he rapidly gassed out, he was sloppy, and he lost. I hope he’s embarrassed - I certainly was whilst watching this. I like this girl, and I enjoy this channel. Thanks again.

For someone who gets hit in the head, on multiple times. You can imagine fighting 2 to 3 people, all you want. In America, that's called a concussion.

Unpopular opinion, I think MMA champs would destroy Bruce Lee. I loved Bruce Lee growing up but watching his speed feats vs max halloway or volk or Sean O'Malley it's not even close. They are so much faster and stronger. Max hit a guy 700 times in a single fight to prove a point.

@@FightCommentary That is true but he sucked too, he dropped his hands a lot after punching & so on. This guy, Ramsey Dewey comments on that because he has seen the video of Bruce Lee Boxing, he wasn't that good. Anyway the guy yall dissing got potential man, getting beat by an upcoming athlete when you aint one? There ain't no shame in that. He can get good. Also one should never fight boxers in their element if you are not a boxer yourself, one is sure to get railed if it's hands only, one is supposed to make boxers uncomfortable by taking them to strange waters: grapple them, take them down, choke them, kick em, etc. & they deserve no mercy because Boxers don't play spar, they don't understand wtf that means every spar is a fight for them, there is no reason to respect them. Maybe its just me but I have never met a polite boxer in my life lol, you tell them "hey bro 50% ok" they go 100%... Yeah, at that point I'm fighting on my rules.

Again. In real combat the karate guy might as well be 100% untrained. Throwing “punches” like they have never trained a day in their life. This girl needs to learn to cut off the ring if she is going to keep fighting these karate guys. You never want to give chase. That just lets them escape too easily. Move to the side and cut the ring off and they have no where to go once their back hits the corner. Also once she gets them backed up and flinching. People unused to sparring tend to close their eyes. In fact boxers actually train themselves to not close their eyes when strikes are coming. It is a natural human response. My coach, Jesse Reid, used to have us get eye drops and practice dripping them in from height and not blinking. But I digress, once their eyes are closed you start taking angles on them. Boom KO! Once their eyes open and you aren’t where they expect they follow you right into the KO. Great job exposing the weakness of “Karate” though. I wish I had known how ridiculous it was before wasting years getting my black belt and 2nd degree. Thank goodness I found Boxing, Muay Thai and BJJ eventually though!!
