Greetings brother Charles and John. Excellent!! By far my favorite episode. I sincerely Thank you both for making this video. I love to see people's Foshan statues and yes indeed John the copies have become difficult to get. There are 3rd generation copies of the copies and the are obnoxious in quality. You both did an amazing job. John you had me a bit concerned when you held the sidekick statue by the leg with one hand. That is risky. I love the BL enthusiasm you gentlemen display in these videos. The sidekick statue has two variations as well. Yours with the white socks and mine without. I smiled throughout this video. Charles, keep up the good work and John thank you again my BL brother. Wow…Charles; great episode of the Bruce Lee statues figures! I remember in the summer of 1985 walking in NYC and I saw one of those figures in a window display of a shop. I believe it was the one with Bruce’s 2 fingers piece signed. Love your channel brother! ❤️👍🏼

Very cool!! I didn't know these were so rare and even worth anything. I got a statue like this years ago from a friend, they got it from San Francisco China town. Watching this video, I had to run and check for a stamp 😂 no luck though. The one I have is in a different pose than what was shown here, Ive got myself a knockoff but still cool though.

I have the one shown at 16:12 . My father was a Chinese art craft antique collector, he bought it after an Fushan Ceramics Arts Exhibition in late 80s held in Hong Kong. It is an original for sure, the price was very high at that time. My father passed it to me before he died. To me, this statue is a priceless gift and a great memory to my dad.

Brother Don John Negron's Collection is far beyond any that I've ever seen. The Mellow Fellow is usually completely serious and reserved while displaying other parts of his extraordinarily massive rare collection. But he was unable to conserve his joy and pride in this particular part of it. I don't recollect ever seeing the man smile (he's a serious brother), but these statues brought a couple out of him. His collection is an outstanding example of what one should be, but more importantLee, his character is a rare example of how one should conduct himself. Thank you Brother Don John for sharing your wonderful collection "among us.". And for giving us a shining example of how one should conduct one's self. Thanks for the info on the artist! It's cool that he made these in the seventies then decades later made the big one for display in Hong Kong, guess he'd fall into the category of long time Bruce Lee fan! As for the fakes, they were sculpted by other artists who were just trying to copy from the originals? It may not be particularly admirable to imitate someone else's artwork but if the reproductions were initially made without molds of the originals, well, that would take artistic talent, too. Anyway, impressive collection!

What another great show of John's rare collection. The fragility of these items makes them even more rare to start with. Like I said on the Livechat, the fake ones look OK and are nice to have. But when compared to the original, it is easy to see they are a lot poorer quality and mass produced. Serious respect to John not only for his collection, but for turning down Bob Wall's request 🧔. Probably not many people around could do that.-And live. Great show yet again.😁🙏🐉

Great episode! These are so rare. Congrats John! I was only ever able to get one original which i sold years ago. The original one i had was the one i got from a former collector named Rich Bartlement. It was the one that John mentions that him and Hector saw in Chinatown. Mine came in the original big box lined with cushion and was tied into the box with a pink cloth. I sold it around 2003 i believe, to a Japanese collector for over $1100. The only ones i have now are five of the larger fakes that i bought in SF Chinatown in 1992. And i wouldn't sell any of them for less than $400 apiece because the larger fakes are rare now and hard to find. They are not for sale anyway lol! I also have four of the smaller fake ones that you can find easily. My large fake ones are the double nunchuk (wod) one, the single nunchuck (wod) one. Both are very hard to find and i haven't seen either offered up in years. I have the large staff one and the large sidekick one and the large flying kick one. Last year i bumped the base of the large sidekick one against one of my tall speakers and the base shattered into pieces. I spent three days restoring it with epoxy and it actually came out pretty good. I agree with everything John had to say about the rarity and how fragile they are. I would only buy a original myself if i could pick it up in person!!! Really enjoyed this episode guy! Have a great weekend!

Funny, you mention his name being I purchased a large portion of his collection back in the late 90s early 2000s and he sent me about 20 boxes full of Bruce Lee collectibles from all over the world. At one point he had a massive collection and I purchased most of it from him. I didn’t realize many people knew of Rich Bartelment! The four non-originals you have are some of my favorites. I drove up to his house with my son Brandon and it completely filled up my Chevy Tahoe with the rear seats folded down. I could not have squeezed in another single item! I still have the video he sent me of everything i was buying and i got everything in the video. I'm talking boxes and boxes from everywhere! I even bought nine Brandon Lee signed checks from him at the same time. We should discuss this on the phone sometime.
