Haven’t seen these Bruce Lee action scenes in a long time. He still has the fastest moves I have ever seen. Used to watch him on the big screen movie theaters back in the day. He still has the fastest moves I’ve ever seen. No one is faster and precise in their movements like Bruce is no one. That’s my opinion on the matter.

I had Game of Death on VHS and wanted to get a sense of how fast Bruce was really going with his nunchucks. So the VCR that I owned had a frame by frame mode. This tape was filmed at 24 frames per second. By skipping one frame, I am watching Bruce move at 1/24th of one second in each frame. There was noting to see. The nunchuck would be at one resting position in the first frame, and then in the second resting position in the second frame. There was no movement caught except for 2 movements from side to side at hip level where there was a slight blur when Bruce only brought the nunchuck 75 percent of the way across his body in 1/24th of a second. It was incredible to watch. Having practiced with the weapon and bonking myself with it a few times at 75 percent of my amateur speed, I can tell you that you would not want to get hit by Bruce's nunchuck. The reactions of the actors in these clips don't convey the actual devastation that a nunchuck hit at that speed would do to a person. Those head shots would be cracking skulls. Guys would be down and out in one hit.

They make or you can make yourself, foam rubber nunchuks to practice with till you get more comfortable with the moves. Great exercise. I used the real ones in a fight once because there were 3 opponents and one had a knife. Almost lost my little finger to the knife but all 3 of them went to the hospital. Effective self-defense when used properly.

I'm gonna pull a Tarantino and just say that Bruce Lee got me in trouble when I was a kid. I picked up a pair of nunchaku, swung the around and brained myself. On a serious note, I wanted to look as cool as him when I was kid. Once I hit myself in the head, I told myself I would never pick them back up until I was trained properly. Having grown up in the Air Force, we never had the money for any training in the Martial Arts. I still haven't picked them up since, Bruce Lee taught me that.

I saw this movie as a kid when it was in theaters. In my little southern town (I lived literally in the Andy Griffith town), there was no hope of buying a pair. So, I made some nunchakus. I made a whole lot of them! The best ones came from old prison mop handles (don't ask) and some good nylon rope. I got pretty good at them.

Goldenbell Training! Your Bruce Lee research is always the best. I seen Chinese Connection with my Karate Class in 1972. Not long ago we had a reunion and talked all night about how Bruce Lee was a major contribution in the Martial Arts. Is there a DELETED Nunchaku scene in the end where he displayed so much speed it looked like Professional Baton Training. If not, Bruce isn't all that good. Dan Inosanto and Utube is a hundred times better.

People don't know that the nunchuku is the most efficient weapons to teach the guards and hand coordination and grip un-grip motor skills. A hand that has been through the nunchuku thrives well in all martial arts styles including blunt, edged and projectile weapon based systems. The nunchuku, short sticks and staff are the true teachers of the martial art.

i think bruce has set the road for some dudes to train into that stuff and nowaday there are ppl who are rly impressive in that. watched a few years ago in france a streetartist crew who performs on an high end level choreographed hard stuff. ive talked to one of that guys and he said something like "as a kid ive watched bruce lee movies and i want to be as good as he is or better and 15 years later after 3-4 hours of training every single day im here with a bunch of fans too" it was goosebumps moment that such a young guy (in his end 20s) watched bruce lee movies a a kid and be track since that. i would love to hear what bruce lee thinks about the martial arts world today and a few artists.

A funny thing I thought of Bruce Lee as the greatest Martial Artist back in 1967 after watching Bruce in the Green Hornet at the time Bruce was an unknown to my surprise I was surprised to learn years later my gut feeling had been so correct at least I had admired a Martial Artist of mediocrity who then became the greatest the world has ever seen case closed
