My uncle used to own a car lot right next door to this house. I walked past it every day and always felt super creepy, like I was being watched. My cousin and I also played in the front yard a couple of times, but sometimes I felt too scared and went back to the lot. Now I understand why.

My grandma lives right down the road, recently a man bought the house and started to restore it, the man started to restore the attic, but he saw something and to this day he refuses to go up there, his name is Mark Jacobson, he goes to my grandmas church

Pretty cool! The history is cool! I'm traveling around the USA in my 25 foot class A Winnebago Warrior motorhome with my little dog Tinkerbell making videos. I make all kinds of videos but my favorite are the creepy and abandoned places.

This house switches owners about every 6 months... people buy it with intentions of restoration but every single owner is scared away by something. I live just a few miles down the road from this gem. This place was sold for $135,000 the last time it was listed....which is pretty cheap, considering how large it is. There is also another smaller mansion on burnside built in the Victorian style named the Macintosh Mansion....it is also haunted and is also constantly for sale. The last owners even left all the furniture and appliances when they left....it was sold fully furnished....makes you wonder. Its also kinda eerie the name of the area is "Burnside" when the entire area went up in flames long ago....kind of ironic.

Burnside is one of those burgs that no longer exist. The crossroads is called Burnside Corners. The nearest town is Brown City. My first boyfriend lived in Burnside down the road, and I was raised six miles from there.

Prior to WW11 most people died at home so I don't understand why people get creeped out about it. My father died at home in 1975 of a heart attack and the people that bought our house in 88 still live there and I doubt my father has any desire to haunt anyone. I also happened to have grown up in the town that Charle Adams grew up in.

I grew up about 10-15 miles east of here. Unfortunately, the property is now condemned. I hope that doesn't mean it's going to be bulldozed. EDIT: The house has since been purchased and is being fixed up!

@@ShilohAcres2221 In past years (obviously before the current owners lived there), the house had orange postings attached to all of the windows on the house. I assumed it was condemned. I remember when the current owners purchased the place and was happy to learn they were fixing it up.

@@bavariantrawler I now when I moved to the area in 98' a was told by the owner of store at that time it was recently purchased by a brother (or brothers) and sister from city. I know rehab stopped for awhile due to a falling out between them. So it wouldn't surprise me then if it had been. Especially if remodeling had to be haulted. It would definitely be deemed unsafe. Not sure if it was the Waits family or those before them who owned it back in early 2000's when they did the haunted house. My husband and I went once just because I was curious to see the inside lol. I actually grew up just of Lapeer (Hadley/Metamora) and we passed the house often as a kid going up to Sandusky.
