trying to make another type of kinetic sculpture. Was wondering how to make it move so easily. Thought it might need bearings and you verified that. Thanks

I was with you and I know I can do what you have done until you got to that massive bearing. Who made that for you? It’s huge...

Sir, might you be able to provide me with information on where to purchase the bearing assembly you are using? I need it for my own project. Thank you.

Bearings you will get from a engineering or marine shop

@@brucerussell1791 Thanks, but are they pre attached to the steel pole like seen in the picture or do you attach them yourself.
@brucerussell17914 жыл бұрын
Umar Rabbani The bearings come complete and you can buy on amazon. I attach them myself by pushing into the turned holes with a tapered fit .. hope this helps you

Why so much detail on something that moves so fast?
@brucerussell17912 жыл бұрын
Hi Gary In the summer it moves very slowly and in a storm it looks fantastic but think I may add a dynamo and generate free electricity also I enjoyed making it with guernsey lily design All the best Bruce

Nice, but I hope a 50mph wind doesn't come around.

Quite clever design the top metre spins separate from main shaft and in high wind will turn side ways away from direction of wind … has been working in 82 mph with no problems
