I was a yesterdays concert- Twist and shout was not on the setlist but someone handed a cardboard peice of paper to him with "Break the stadium" on it and he saved it for later- And played it a bit before the end

Hi Kathleen, he did that in 1985, after their two concerts there that magic Born-in-the-USA-summer. I've seen them 20 times, but sadly I "found" Bruce in approx. 1986. My sister is older and she saw the 1985 concerts :) I watched Michael Jackson in the same city of Gothenburg in 1988, and by then this arena Ullevi stadium were closed for concerts - because of this song and more songs that made the audience crazy by jumping and dancing wildly. The Jackson concerts were held in another part of the city, in the harbour. But Bruce is my all time favourite! :)

Right song, wrong year!!!! The real stadium breaker version of this song actually almost destroyed Ullevi. From Wikipedia: Ullevi nearly collapsed during a Bruce Springsteen concert on 8 June 1985 due to the rhythmic movement of tens of thousands of people in the audience and the clay soil on which the stadium is built. The concert also caused nearly £3 million in damages, while David Bowie's Glass Spider Tour in June 1987 was relocated from Ullevi to Eriksberg because of fears about the safety of the structure. Since then, the concrete pillars supporting the stadium have been extended down to the bedrock.
