Timothy, I hope you will overcome your issues. Personally, I never knew what a 'depression' was, but my better half suffered heavily from it during the first 30 (!) years of our marriage. So I set out to learn ALL about it and, after 30 years of struggle, things got A LOT better and joy of life came back to us... There is ALWAYS hope, when you find people who have the patience to help you through it.

So many gone: family, friends, classmates, neighbors, places, now just distant memories. What keeps me going, what keeps me alive, is a strong sense of the Eternal, that all those who have passed on are still here, inside me. They speak to me; they whisper to me in the dark; they guide me; they illuminate the way Home. Home, never perishing, never lost: Home. It's just over that hill there. There it is! People like Bruce are touch stones. They articulate our longings, our fears, our dreams. They are always with us.
@sfender21824 жыл бұрын
Yes, the eternal is a great comfort to those who believe. As a Catholic I also believe that every person has a Guardian Angel to help us, guide us, and protect us spiritually and physically. Don' t forget to pray for help from our Guardian Angels. I feel it's also important to pray for the souls of the departed, because we can't assume that everyone goes to heaven right away, and many may be in Purgatory being purified before their entry into heaven, (and they can be helped with our prayers) and Jesus also spoke of Hell frequently, and it's very important to do our best to follow God's laws and do our best to be in union with God's will...There are so many who have had Near Death Experiences and have had visions of heaven. Father Robert Spitzer's website magiscenter.com is a very good source for spiritual enlightenment!

Hearing this now Oct 26,2020 for the first time! I'm sitting here crying! Not many artists can do that for their fans! I lost my 58 year old husband to a sudden heart attack, in 2014! I'm 61 now! We met when I was 13! He was the reason I found Bruce! This song! This song will be wildly popular to those like me who hear it and are filled with emotion! Why? Bruce gets it! I was crying for my husband , for the big man, for all those who will be missing a loved one at the holiday table this year due to Covid or violence! Pain is everywhere in 2020! Yet Bruce found a way to bring love, beauty,empathy and hope! I love you Bruce! Thank you for this! ✌❤😪

You lot might struggle as Gen Z to find fellow boss fans, but guess what? I'm Gen X, and it's just as tough to find like minded souls in my Gen too. Great thing is though, Bruce's fans span all generations, and when we're lucky enough to see him live, the congregation is old and young, all knowing that what binds us is an appreciation of one of the most down to Earth, epic performing rock star lyricists to ever grace the world. P.s. Darknesso on the Edge of Town is one of the greatest albums ever made 👍

I just heard him performing this song on SNL..beautiful song..I'm 67 and I believe as we age and some of us are now experiencing losses in our lives, great artist like Bruce Springsteen are writing more about lossing friends and love ones. A hard part of life. Songs like this helps us to cope with our loss.

I've been listening Bruce since 1975. If someone told me that he will be still on and kicking 45 years later, I wouldn't believe.

First time I saw Bruce and the E street Band was on late 80s after Tunnel of love tour in Calderon Stadium. The hits, the bits, Clarence, all las so real. The dedication hour after hour of the concert will always come with me, almost 2 a.m. morning walking back home, thirsty like hell, i had that big smile, al drums again in my head, without doubts a Reason to believe

Bruce sings: "Death is not the end" more than once in this great song. Also, I've always loved the Bob Dylan song from the album Down in the Groove entitled "Death is not the End" ....a lot of times great minds think alike, and it is a great comfort to know that this is a reality.
