Great lesson! Cool to get a finger picking song. Can you do a lesson on the acoustic version of The Promised Land like he played on Broadway and in other live settings? Thanks again for all the lessons! Super helpful

Woke up this morning my house was cold Checked out the furnace she wasn't burnin' Went out and hoped in my old Ford Hit the engine but she ain't turnin' We've given each other some hard lessons lately But we ain't learnin' We're the same sad story that's a fact One step up and two steps back Bird on a wire outside my motel room But he ain't singin' Girl in white outside a church in June But the church bells they ain't ringing I'm sittin' here in this bar tonight But all I'm thinkin' is I'm the same old story same old act One step up and two steps back It's the same thing night on night Who's wrong baby who's right Another fight and I slam the door on Another battle in our dirty little war When I look at myself I don't see The man I wanted to be Somewhere along the line I slipped off track I'm caught movin' one step up and two steps back There's a girl across the bar I get the message she's sendin' Mmm she ain't lookin' to married And me well honey I'm pretending Last night I dreamed I held you in my arms The music was never-ending We danced as the evening sky faded to black One step up and two steps back

I remember in the 80's i was talking to Bruce Springsteen backstage at villa park football stadium. I told him how much I loved listening to this beautiful song and he also told me that this was one of his favourite songs too and that it meant a lot to him that Ioved the song as much as he did. He is such a brilliant guy and so very very kind. And very down to earth. I had a great time that day especially after the show. He is one of the very many stars who I loved spending time with after the shows and how I miss those days. Anyway back to the video that you posted? You truly have a gifted talent and a fabulous sound. Thank you for uploading this video.

@@BruceGuitar hi, yes i worked as a mobile dj to start with and then in the clubs in Birmingham England 🇬🇧 and that's when I met up with Gary numan and various artists at the aftershow parties and then got into being a roadie and sound and lighting. I've had the privilege of working some fabulous venues in England and meeting some fantastic artists as well as the grumpy has beens who have turned very bitter because they had it all and lost it all through their extravagant lifestyles? And the ones that you'd think would be very nice would be awful. And then the one's that you'd think would be awkward and strange would turn out to be so friendly and very kind towards not only the crew members and staff but also the fans. But Bruce has got a very big heart and so much humanity. He's one of my favourites as well as the kind hearted very talented Phil Collins. I wish I could say something nice about front man of spandau ballet tony Hadley but the only thing I know that I can say good about him is that he's always smart in dress sense? And a very good singer songwriter? But a ignorant and arogant big headed man on and off stage at times? Maybe that's why the KEMP brother's fell out with him and that's why he's playing holiday camp retro tours and cruise ships and smaller venue's over charging his fans for meet and greets and doesn't even allow them to take a selfie with him 🤔 yes so there's some strange ones out there? It's so sad that we are losing a lot of our extremely talented stars to that big music venue up in the sky. The music industry will never ever be the same again because unfortunately we haven't focused on what truly matters which like it did in the 80's and that was the image and the sound quality and the videos what was made and most of all was the talent of the likes of Springsteen and Phil Collins and Eric Clapton and simple minds and the fabulous Depeche mode and too many many other's to name. But nowadays it's all about who can show the most flesh whilst pole dancing around microphone stands miming and no talent to even sing or play their own material that they haven't even written. No more video's to compliment the song and for people like Simon Cowell to exploit them by throwing them onto the stage and then venues which frighten them to death as they've never had the chance to start at the smaller venues to build themselves up to the big venues. That's why our stars of the 70's and 80's are still selling out pretty good size venues to this day. Because back then it wasn't just about the money? It was the love of the music and the excitement of playing live and making music videos and songwriting. I'm afraid that the music industry is on it's knees at the moment and thanks to the 70s and especially 80's artists we were privileged to have grown up with some very talented musicians to play on our radio stations and grace our stages all over the world 🌎 but anyway I truly am very impressed with the way that you present yourself and play your a very talented man and I would love to hear you play a beautiful track by a Scottish band called the proclaimers? The tracks is called my old friend the blues. It's a lovely ballad and I think that you would do it justice. Anyway once again thank you for taking the time to show you tubers your talent and I look forward to seeing some more my friend. Best wishes from john 👤🎤🎹
