There is nothing like a Bruce Springsteen concert. Even if you're not a fan of his music, it's impossible not to enjoy his performance. Ive seen him approximately 75 times, and never fails to give his all .

The part where Bruce "forgets the words" is an inside joke to a concert that happened in Barcelona. He played "Spirit in the Night" as a solo piano piece. During the song Bruce forgot the piano chords and legitimately lost track of where he was in the performance. He has to replay the verse over again during the show while the crowd jovially encouraged him to finish. It's actually one of my favorite videos of Bruce because he's so authentic in it.

I think THAT TIME he didn't forget the lyrics... I think he was joking about the 2003 Barcelona DVD, he played that song solo in Roy Bittan's piano and he forgot the lyrics, and that was true

"Bruce can sell it" Truer words have not been spoken Fun song, good review, Nice comment about time flying when you're having fun I think it was during this song's crowd surfing in Brisbane that someone slipped a cell phone into Bruce's pocket - which he discovered later on stage - have only seen the clip once and haven't been able to find it since Thanks for the review and cheers

Sure, Bruce was messing with the words, however, you were laughing, I was laughing, everyone was laughing, it's what makes his shows so wonderful!! Speaking of the choir, Singer Cindy Mizelle has two sons drafted into the NFL, one, Devin Fuller, played at UCLA, you being a pac10 guy may know of him

He may have forgotten. He was over 60 at the time, the song was about 40 years old and Bruce has been using lyric telepromptrs for a long time.

You notice that this was soon after Clarence Clemmons passed away. Bruce was not in top shape physically, having been away from touring for quite some time. And Jake (Clarence's nephew) was not as good a sax-player. Now though he's really good. Took a year or two for him to get comfortable in the role I think.

You need to listen to the performance from Rio Lisboa 2016. It sounds much better. You should also do Rosalita Come Out Tonight (from really any concert), Ramrod (from Barcelona 2002), Mary’s Place (from Barcelona 2002), Waiting On a Sunny Day (from really any concert), Sherry Darling (from the No Nukes Concert), New York City Serenade (from Rome 2013), Born in the U.S.A. (From Madison Square Garden 2000), (Your Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher and Higher (From the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame 25th anniversary), and Kitty's Back (From Perth 2014. All amazing!

this song from is his from his first record 1973. Hard to believe, that you never heard of this, cause there is a very popular (but not so good) cover version from Manfred Manns Earth Band

That you'd sax player is Clarence clement nephew.he pich up the staff after clement died and he can play sax guitar and drums etc

Spirit has opened a show once before to my knowledge. Rome in 2013. Bruce did something different on this version. He had the band come out and start the song, then started the intro off stage out of sight. You can watch it here kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y4LCl6epaKyhlc0

Mid way, until about 10nyrs ago he played for over 4hrs. Now he play around 2 and a half hours because he 8s about 70 fucking yrs old.i uave seen him 5 t8me between 78 and 2006

The one thing E Street doesn't like, is when Bruce collects signs from the audience to sing a certain song and he will with no rehearsals. Band is always ready when he does it....

...and probably an written audience request on a card bord. This interaction with the audience makes Bruce famous and named him "the travelling jukebox" being able to act accordingly to popping up song requests from the audience. Bruce gave this opportunity in every of his concerts since 2003. This "wish list section" was usually placed in the first quarter of the setlist. Please keep in mind, if this one was no.6, about 20 other songs would follow ( may be less as this was a festival venue and the gigs were shorter as usual).
