If your families Tractor outfit buys it, fix the cabin doors, replace the A/C compressor (the biggest point of leakage in most fuel powered A/C applications is the graphite seal/bearing at the pulley end of the compressor- the oil in the seal dries out when it isn't run often and it leaks), to test, fill the A/C system with nitrogen gas and do a leak down test, bleed back to slightly over atmospheric and refill with more nitrogen to get as much of the moisture and contaminants out, then bleed to just above atmospheric and do a deep vacuum and test again for leaks; if it holds both 150# of positive nitrogen for 30 mins and retains full vacuum for the same, start it and add the amount of Freon and refrigerant oil the Case factory did. The rubber as you likely know is dry rotted after sitting for so long- this could be the machine that helps some hard working family farmer become a bigger better one!FR

Guys, getting motion sickness watching these clips of yours. A tripod is always WAY better than throwing the lens onto a million different targets. If you have to go in manual mode, try experimenting with the stabilisation options on your GoPro (assuming you're using one). Great content but I couldn't get past the 5-minute mark because my guts were churning.

Hope he sells it to you, but them old boys...you never know. He showed up the day before probably just to see if it had life left in it. Now that it runs, he may think he can get it field ready! Got my neighbor across the road that bought his place complete with a pretty good Ford diesel series tractor that previous owner only used to blade our short road and mow a 3 acre field. Didn't understand the concept that you can't run them out of fuel as you'll have to bleed it again. Heck, even their lawnmower when it ran out of gas, it would sit where it died, til they needed to cut again. After several incidents (we bled it for him) he decided it was broke for good. As years gone by, every attempt to buy it resulted in "no, I think I'm gonna get it running again". Of course it never happened, and it sat outside. Tires rotted, probably some freeze plugs popped as he isn't smart enough to put coolant in. Clutch froze up (rusted probably). Who knows what else. His diabetes resulted in a foot amputation and he barely gets around anymore. But he won't sell it. Some people are just like that.

That is sad. I know of an old split screen vw van that has almost no rust and has zero extra windows cun into the back (its very original, perfect for restoration) the hoarders that own it have a draw bar setup on the front, they throw all their trash in the back of the vw, then once its full they tow it to their dump at the back of their farm and get rid of the trash!!! They refuse to sell it despite how rare it is
@kenarnold91325 жыл бұрын
@@alc7505 Yeah, I hate that. I absolutely hate when people use their vehicles as a garbage bin. My father at one time, had a brain tumor operation and decided he wanted to get into car restoration (Long story as after each surgery he had a different hobby). So he bought a 741/2 MGB. Bought a bunch of parts, never put them on. Moved from the farm to Atlanta, had another surgery and the hobby was woodworking. Car sat under a tarp til I returned from Germany. I needed another car, so I bought the MGB. Fixed some rotted fuel lines, got them old carbs working, changed oil, quick license as inspection was waived as vintage, and the next day drove that thing all the way to North Carolina where my next base was! Those old 6 volt batteries, I was afraid to shut it off and fueled it hot. Changed to 12volt battery, put the new top on and drove it to work every day for 3 years! At 6'2" the gate guards would laugh with my head sticking out the top! Sold it and 2 yrs later I would see it every now and then putting around town.

The factory Cummins lift pumps aren't expensive. The injection pump needs *no less* than ~25 psi from the lift pump... although that number is for the later P7100 injection pump. Less than that will burn up the injection pump.

Birthplace and reason the 5.9 Cummins exists is that 1896 and the 2096 tractors.. Case had the 3.9, 5.9 and 8.3 all developed through a 50/50 collaboration between JI Case and Cummins called CDC ( Consolidated Diesel Company). The 1896/2096 were the first tractors to be released with the 5.9 in 1983 for the 1984 model year. I grew up with an 1896 that I wish I still had... I do have a really low hour one year only color 2294 but that runs the old Case 504 in it still. I have thought about pulling the 504 and dropping in a worked over 5.9 lol.
