The Scania "Lion-Bird" is a Griffin. It's the original SAAB-logo (Scania is a subsidiary of SAAB) You will see this logo on all SAAB cars, and also on the SAAB Griffin Fighter Jet. European trucks are definetly more technically advanced and more comfortable. But I would still prefer to own a traditional American truck just because they are more genuine, no nonsense trucking culture. Cheers from Sweden!

One easy way to tell the difference between that truck and the 71 is the 71 cables are backwards. The positive positive is the negative and a negative as the positive but this truck is straightforward with everything. It is not backwards. That’s another major way help you tell the difference between years.

That truck is a 1971B model R model Mac with the duplex transmission I know because my uncle Eddie used to have the same truck as a dump truck in the Pennsylvania city of Harrisburg. He had that truck for 40 years so I know my trucks when it comes to max, everything from an arm all the way up to the newest phantom class

The exhaust pipe a little bit further out from the side of the truck with a stainless steel flapper would be kind of cool. Bruce, what happened to that Scania truck that caught fire? I haven’t seen that one in quite a while. That one had a pretty poppy exhaust on it.
