Bruder CAT telehandler pt8d: boom 4th part

FINAL BUILD VIDEO IN THE SERIES! 👍😀 4th part of 5th (and final) build video.
As a rough guide, the total cost of the conversion including the original toy & accessories, the RC, battery & all the components that I had to buy was around £170. Build time maybe 15 - 20 hours.

Printing instructions: all but the ram cylinder can be printed together - using ‘support everywhere’. The cylinder must not have any supports in the print file. I just used a ‘brim’ & 100% infill. I printed one set in PLA+ and the other in PETG. The cost for me to provide a full set of PETG 3D parts would be £40 GBP (plus tracked world-wide postage) - please email me on [e-mail] if you would like me to do this for you.

LiFe battery used (any 2s lipo less than or equal to 55x17x30mm should be OK, limit travel on throttle and ram motor esc on TX if using 7.2v instead of the 6.6v LiFe) : bit.ly/2VwZWcf (from Component Shop in the UK - good capacity & fits well). UK amazon link: amzn.to/2VMoHFj
Lead screw rod (make sure not to but hardened rods as you won’t be able to drill them): ebay.to/2GWjGTq
Servo extension lead (for bucket servo) - I just used the ones that come RC lighting sets. If using a normal extension lead, around 300mm / 12 inches would be fine.

Thank you Aaron. The low geared (100rpm) motors and in particular the scroll wheel on the tx and the mixing of the telescopic arm lift to the bucket/fork angle make this a easy and smooth model to operate. The hot-swap of the accessories is a fun feature too. 😀👍

Amazing!! My mind is boggled that there is not a fleet of readily available 1/16 rc construction equipment, such as this, uh, telehandler boom you called it, here in Washington, we'd usually call them Bones, as the primary company of that rig out here is Pettibon. I've already been dying to get ahold of a 3d printer, but finding your work here has opened mental doors for me! I'm primarily and rc tank guy, but you need industrial machines to work on/with tanks, so naturally I'd want a 1/16 scale rc equipment to do that with! So, much thanks for your video, and the key I needed to get into rc industrial equipment!! As a forklift operator (only up to class 7 though), I definitely want a few rc forklifts too!! I subscribed because of this video, if that helps you at all. Keep up the amazing work, I cant wait to see your other videos!

Thank you 🙏. I currently use a Prusa I3s - this is all the printer I’ll need for many years to come. It prints PETG perfectly and is 100% reliable. At the time I made the telehandler I was learning on a Monoprice Mini Delta - using PLA - it was a great way to see if I liked 3D print and design, without spending much money. 😁👍
