As soon as that all came apart, I said to myself ... oohh geez Hopefully it'll just be bad solder joint! This device looks like a nightmare to troubleshoot. 😳

Opening a very high-dollar tool like that ALWAYS has an accompanying pucker factor. Well done Sorin. Two things I would have done differently: I would have soldered ALL pins for that connector including the case pins to strengthen the entire connector; I would NOT have pressed on the connector when I reinstalled it is the case. I'm a long-time viewer of your content and you have taught a lot of folks. Keep it coming!

Unreal that the mfg refuses to support this product. Is such an expensive measurement instrument considered disposable as a cell phone ?

Battery is not glued on. They do not follow the fashion of anti repair companies. That is great...

Northbridge fix would charge a minimum of 1500 for this repair, the more expensive the devices are the more he charge smh scamp. He always say what they will pay to replace it... smh Alex the scammer

I've got a mixing desk with a similar fault coming my way soon, they have to pull the lead to one side for it to work the lights properly so hopefully it's a cracked solder joint like this repair! 🤞

What a cool looking board. I get real nervous when plastic pieces require a little snap to separate or put back together. I've broken a lot of plastic snaps in my time lol. I would have been sweating too!
