In this video, we are going to show you Brugada criteria and how to use Brugada criteria for differentiating VT from SVT with aberrancy.
Ventricular tachycardia is a wide QRS complex tachycardia. Most patients are very ill and need urgent interventions. It can be a doctor's nightmare to diagnose and treat as a time critical emergency.
Supraventricular tachycardia bundle brach block and venrticular tachycardia are difficult to differentiate sometimes. The expertly application of Brugada criteria may help us differentiate between VT and SVT with aberrancy.
VT can be diagnosed on the electrocardiography (ECG or EKG) with fast and qrs wide qrs complexes. Usually preexcitation syndrome gives very fast WCT and can be difficult to differentiate from VT as well.
Brugada sign is width from begining of R wave to the nadir of the S wave more than 100msec.
Josephson sign is a notch in the downsloping part of the S wave.
