Friends have put me onto Bruges as wasn't aware of how good it is. Intend to go in November. Hope there's still enough to do even at that time of year

Bruges is always a good idea to visit. November is a nice time also to visit no worries. Visit the great brewery halve maan and drink a delicious Brugse Zot beer

My friend and I loved Bruges when we visited last September and we highly recommend staying at Hotel Bryghia. Family owned and run and amazing service. It is next to one of the canals across from where Jan Van Eyck lived and about a 10 minute walk to Markt Square. We certainly got our exercise walking around this beautiful city.

I have a friend in Brugge who has hosted me many times in my vagabond days and would have to say, as a born European who moved to America with his parents, I find the urban architecture of this country totally boring. and seeing just the workmanship of the cobblestone roads and path brought tears to my eyes. We Americans have almost no history
