The Salzburg trolleybus system is one of the largest trolleybus systems in western Europe. Together with the Salzburger Lokalbahn, the system is operated by Salzburg AG, which markets it under the name Obus.
The oldest buses in the fleet are currently the Van Hool- Kiepe 261-271, 273-290 AG 300T AG300T build between 2000-2005.
The Solaris Trollino 18 buses with the fleetnumbers 301-319 were build between 2005 and 2010.
Between 2012 and 2018 51 Solaris Trollino 18 Metrostyle trolleybuses were delivered with the numbers 321-371.
Starting in 2019 began the delivery of the first Hess LightTram BGT-N1D buses numbered 401 and up. These bus are equipped with large batteries and are uses on new the extension of route 5 to the Untersbergbahn, without overhead wires.
