He only gives out enough punishment to keep the admin happy and keep the students respecting his authority. Unclear justice since he enjoys some of the students and doing his job. I’ve got the feeling, the eternal youth surgery is more than we expected. Assuming Imu and all Gorosei live since the void century, all of them had it performed on them. We know the awakening of the Ope Ope no Mi. With that in mind, the eternal life surgery has to be a special room, like an enternal/timeless room, where your body overcomes the aging process and the creation of that takes the whole lifespan of the Ope Ope user. So Saturn might be covered in this E Room and it prevents damage from Gear 5 advanced haki attacks. Imagine Law having to perform the surgery on Luffy to allow him to fight the Gorosei in the E room, sacrificing himself for the last big battle of the D clan vs their ancient enemies.

One of the things that always interested me was that early versions of One Piece included Black Magic even when Luffy had the only devil fruit. While filler and movies dive into magic all the time the actual Canon has gone far out of its way to never introduce any magic other than devil fruits and devil fruits are now implied to be a scientific invention. It feels like every major character in One Piece was relying on Luffy (Straw Hats) to shake up the world. We never saw anyone mess up a Gorosei or get them summoned up like this. I feel like this is such a good setup for a couple reasons: 1. The time limit has flipped from the straw hat crew being under pressure, to now the villains being under time pressure 2. We get to see both the overwhelming power of the Gorosei WHILE the Straw Hats can still get a victory. Both the gorosei get to look like final villains without outright destroying the crew

Been thinking about this for a while. Saturn and some of the other Gorosei have definitely fought against these powers before. We don't know how Joyboy used the powers but he probably at least turned his opponents and surroundings rubber. Saturn boomeranged back towards Luffy while his body was rubberized and his wavy arm attack might be a way to fight around the rubber powers. Luffy doesn't even know what the Gorosei's powers are or how they work and these old bastards have probably fought many battles against the Hito Hito no mi: Model Nika. If the other 4 manage to get to the island this is looking very grim for Luffy. Might need more beyond the Straw Hats, Giant pirates, and the Pacifista. Some of the Gorosei were explaining the Nika fruit within the ranks and we don't know if all the current roster is even ageless but it is likely that at least some of these guys were around during the void century. They blanked out 100 years of history, if that was a 100 year war between Joyboy and his alliance vs what is currently known as the World Government then the Gorosei have seen a few techniques of the Gomu Gomu variety.

I've been saying it for awhile that shanks and or the iron robot is going to help. Would love some thoughts on the theory. Shanks: I think Shanks is on the Giant Pirates ship because back when Kid got slammed he was standing on their ship no? Also he was on Elbaf with them so why wouldn't shanks be with them to go save luffy and co if needed. Also if the 5 elders actually come down like all 5 then theres no way Shanks isn't jumping off the ship to save luffy when one of the elders is gonna sneak him. Giant Robot: I think since the Robot is already moving when all 5 elders come down and try to sneak luffy like in the last scenario with shanks then the robot is going to come in and block it to save his master "JoyBoy" and or is going to shoot some type of new attack we haven't seen yet and that the elders haven't been hit with/seen since the void century. Lmk what yall think or if there is any plot holes that fuck up my theory 😭

I really feel like Imu's power is some sort of "Father" Devil Fruit that can actually manifest Devils. That the 5 Gorosei are actually just shard's of Imu and thats why they cant get hurt. They're phantoms. Maybe the only way to hurt them is finding a weakness to Imu's power or attacking Imu directly. Like if Imu is defeated, they will be too automatically. As far as their scars on the physical bodies of the Gorosei go... perhaps they are just hosts.

The way i see it is : zoro sanji luffy and jinbei against the gorosei , posisiblity of cipher pol will betray the gov and join sides and hold off kizaru and marines , bonney will use all of the pacifistas to fight alongside luffy , dory and broggy will assist as well , vegapunk will only be able to deliver part of the message to the world , he'll be able to say besides the gorosei theres a person sitting on the throne of the world and then the lab gets destroyed before saying the full name

I think dorry & brogy will die holding back the 5 and tell luffy to get away. Some of the giants will stay back to avenge them while a smaller group takes them to elbaf King Loki will take that opportunity to make a push in the “war” (we were told elbaf was a country at war but the government doesn’t mess with them so who are they warring with? Each other) That gives us our next island to liberate (from Loki) and the death of his Masters pushes Uusop to his final form. (Training by a new giant, maybe intro to a Thor?)

I think the announcement from vegapunk is a big bluff. The announcement is actually vegapunk giving a video of the 10 min intermission of egghead itself since the announcement. The goal to expose the gorosei to the world and show that mention of the truth causes this to happen. The gorosei fall for it and it causes a few things to happen. Think about why give 10 mins for a dying message and not give it himself. Not knowing what he will say he knows the world government will act. Knowing the gorosei and an insight into the abilities vegapunk planned that giving a 10 min video of them destroying the island will be enough for the world to ask questions. So the announcement will be a release of the 10 mins recording of egghead when vegapunk got shot

If all the Gorosei are coming to Egghead maybe One Piece will be over a lot soon than we thought. I was thinking the next Gorosei we meet would be on Elbaf. I thought the reveal of the Gorosei’s Yokai forms was going to be a slow reveal. Someone suggested that the message would be Vegapunk capturing the Gorosei's Yokai forms. There were 13 chapters between Saturn's name reveal and the others' name reveal. It looks like this will be a similar time frame of 15-16 chapters. I think we get their power/devil fruit names in the next chapter or two. But the giant wide shot at the end with the massive amount of space between Luffy and the Gorosei is so ominous and terrifying. Cover story ideas: Kaido and Linlin join up with Buckin and Gloriosa? Rocks Pirates reunion? Maybe to save Weevil? Blackbeard Pirates going after Pluton?

Their is an in universe for the naming processes, its likely that Kaido's fruit having fish in the name just refers to how similar the azure dragon is to fishes, both scaley and have serpentine bodies. Also Oda would have definitely put the detail of it having gills if he truly wanted us to believe he was capable of such, just like for that one guy in marineford with the shark fruit who had gills and Jack, whose gills are visible underneath the scarf. It's also pretty contentious whether Kaido would stay in his dragon form underwater or the effects of the sea would weaken him and prevent him from maintaining that form. Now that I think about it this point doesn't even matter because if we assume Kaido got submerged in water then he'd be far too weak anyways to turn dragon from his base form

I can see where this might be going concerning Dragon and Shaka's conversation before...Vegapunk, foreseeing his death, decided to inform Dragon that he plans to tell the whole world about the truth, and he also advised Dragon to use the momentum gained from this incident to begin mobilizing the Revolutionary Army for the final war. I don't think we'll see Dragon taking action in Egghead, but I think he will mobilize for Mariejois. Also, with Luffy vs 5 gorousei, I think luffy will get captured (as always) judging from his statement that he wants to make sure his friends escape. Luffy may be taken to Mariejois where he will get saved by Dragon again.

What you think about the possibility of Luffy holding off the gorosei for his crew to leave and broadcast to happen, but he doesn't have enough stamina or know how to finish off the gorosei and he ends up getting captured and they do like with ace but for luffy and this starts the great war to save luffy. might sound kind of stupid but I don't know. kind of popped into my head with what was starting to happen at end of this chapter, 1v5 for Luffy even gear 5 is going to be rough if he doesn't know how to defeat them especially with him running out of energy.
