ℹ️ ABOUT TODAY'S EPISODE
Whisky drinkers have been hearing the words provenance and terroir a whole lot lately. With the explosion of American Single Malts, the vast array of climates across the nation create a broad variety of heirloom grains, weather and soil conditions.
While Scotland's conditions are a little less dramatic, there are still some pretty unique regions. Bruichladdich is exploring those with their Bere Barley, Organic, and Islay Barley expressions. This is the start of a three part series exploring the flavors of these three regional grains.
Bere is the most historic and one I've talked with Iain McAllister (Glen Scotia) about as well as Allan Logan (Bruichladdich) on the Whiskey Lore: The Interviews podcast.
