Let me get this straight: they fired Bruce Cassidy and he goes to Vegas and immediately wins a Stanley Cup. Now they fire Monty, another Jack Adams award winning coach, and he will definitely find another job. Not to mention the debacle over the summer concerning the goaltenders which saw them trade one and back up a Brinks trick for the other and we are all seeeing how that has worked out. Yet the GM gets a free pass? This is ridiculous! Methinks there is a boys club in the front office. Good luck B's fans, you are going to need it.

That fan at the end saying 'We expect greatness'. Had my eyes rolling. No, you should not expect greatness. You hope for it, dream for it. Because that is an over estimation of your team's capabilities, and it is very limited. What you should expect is change, and then progress.

That's why even though I was born and raised in Boston I knew when I left 19 years ago (TO THE DAY in fact) for boot camp, I would NEVER be moving back...the city and states comm***st politics was bad when I lived there and now it's COMPLETELY OUT OF CONTROL!! Yet these people keep allowing it to happen because they're too brainwashed to understand it's a problem! I'm so grateful that most of my family (the ones who are still alive) were able to get out of that CESSPOOL!! In fact my father and stepmother joined me in NC where I've lived the last nearly 16 years!!

Monty had to deal with the boneheaded trades Neely and Sweeney made. Did not help that Swayman missed the entire training camp holding out for more money. No leadership on the team. Marchand may have the "C" on his jersey but he is not the leader that Bergeron or Chara were. Front office obsessed with being able to pound it out with Panthers, they forgot there are 30 other teams in the league and they certainly do not have the speed or skill to play against teams like Carolina, the Rangers, Edmonton, Dallas, etc. The passing is horrible, often leads to turnovers and fast breaks for opponents. Monty should take rest of year off to be with family, I am sure at the conclusion of this season, his phone will be ringing.

This is standard practice. We have to do something so we fire the coach. A GM never fires himself. Will a different coach do better or has this team passed its “best before date”

told you they never replaced bergeron and krejci and picked up wrong type of new players; zdorov giant waste of money, causes as many problems as he helps; peake i don't understand why he is a bruin; new forwards are not as talented as those gone (debrusk, reilly smith, nick foligno; heinen and lauko a little less so); maybe they can bring poitras back up now and unfortunately send lohrei back down (great talent needs just a little more seasoning).

Fantastic! Montgomery sealed his fate 2 years ago with his(and Ullmark's-glad hes gone too) incompetence and selfishness by continuing to start an injured Ullmark during the playoffs while a healthy and capable Sway sat on the bench, ultimately creating the piece of sh*t monsters known as the FL panthers, is in unforgivable sin. Bye Bye Monty, your softness and inability to stand up for you team and the horse sh*t officiating will not be missed. It'll be refreshing to see guys find their grit, their legs, and play with some juice again, something Monty just couldn't get out of the guys. Not to mention be able to properly perform a line change again. Just waiting for the Joel Quenville signing! 💯👏

Monty will land on his feet - any coach who leads a team in this city does. He wasn't the issue. Negativity carrying over from Swayman and Sweeney are the issues. Sweeney needs to go.

I blame the front office AND Swayman for this crap!! Swayman tricked these 🤡's into believing he was a legit NUMBER ONE GUY when I have been telling everyone all along (my comments are all over YT from a year ago all the way up till the start of the regular season) that Swayman was/is NOT capable of carrying this team and the ONLY reason he has had the success he has had in his career thus far is BECAUSE HE HAD ULLMARK NEXT TO HIM!!! Yet in their ARROGANCE AND IGNORANCE, Sweeney and Neely (both guys I have GREAT RESPECT FOR AS PLAYERS because I am old enough that I got to watch them play with Bourque, Oates, Heinze, Donato etc) made the CHOICE to buy into Swayman's BS...and look at us now!! 2 years ago we were the best team in hockey during the entire regular season, shattering records all along the way....now...it's the early 2000's ALL OVER AGAIN!!

I can't believe this guy got hired by St. Louis. I know he was assistant coach with them at one time. I thought St. Louis Blues organization was smarter. This guy can't deliver any hardware ( Silver Stanley Cups). A players coach is a Lame Duck Coach. It's like my Boss at work being called a Workers Supervisor. How stupid is that!

Hey B's fans, hate to burst Your bubble but if you take away the 14 LOSER PTS last year your team finished with 82 pts., and that was with Sway and Ullmark, the window closed a Long Time ago, blaming Monty is a failure to recognize the obvious. In 18 the Rangers Tore everything up, started over from scratch, and have gone to conference Finals 2 of last 3 yrs, it only took 3 seasons to turn the team back to competing......
