1990 and 1991 was the Bruins window to win a Cup with this group. By 1992 the Penguins had clearly passed them. From 1993 to 1998 they won a total of one playoff series. Even the brilliant Janney-for-Oates trade couldn't keep them competitive, at least not for a Cup.

You really think the Bruins had it in them to beat Mario and the Pens? I'm getting older and had to Google that. I just figured it was the Oilers that won it. The Pens had a dominant period as well with Jagr and Mario, Stevens, et al.
