This was my first contemporary class ever. Contemporary, to me, isn't about who has the best technique, but it's about telling a story and being vulnerable. I was so honored to have been to share with all of these incredible humans in that room. It was a day to remember and I hope you guys enjoyed!
This is what this piece was about/meant to me:
Sometimes we take things for granted in life and we don't appreciate everything we have when it's right in front of us. This piece is about "appreciating what you HAVE before it turns into what you HAD" because once something is gone you can't do anything about it. SO you feel this pain inside of regretting not doing something while you had the chance. But it's also OK to feel this pain and regret, to let it all out, but just as long as by the end of it, you learn from mistakes and you take a piece of that knowledge with you and continue through life. Just remember, LIFE IS NOT PERFECT.
P.S. My hair always does the craziest things. Hope you liked my mohawk! lol

I truly think that this kind of style suits you the best, don't get me wrong you absolute kill hip hop, but if there is something that sets you apart from most dancers is your ability to portray stories with powerful messages. What you just did now is fantastic i cant wait to see where this leads you keep finding new ways to express yourself and keep evolving, you are on the right path, wish nothing but success and growth.

izzy plays roblox not really she created and choreographed this dance she’s picked this song that connects to her and us dances channel in to our emotions and tell a story with Dance it’s so much more then just putting facial expression is it’s also making someone else feel something and having the power to do that Is amazing is its so real because she is feeling pain and that’s how we express our pain as dances

Can we take a moment to appreciate the awesomeness at 1:40?? This entire performance was exceptional on many levels, but that single expression change in motion was utter brilliance, if for no other reason than it was completely unexpected while still fitting perfectly in this overall serious piece.

Omg I noticed that to. I’m not even a dancer but it just feels like it would be super hard to go through how emotional this whole thing is and just switch like that, even for a second. Or even more difficult because she could only do it for a second and then revert straight back to the intensity. Subtle but incredible

I've *_NEVER_* in my years of life seen so much effort and passion put into choreography like she did with this song. It was beautiful from the minute she made her first rythem. Dances have been starting to lak passion and thought as the years have passed. It's nice to see some of the old souls still exist.

Miss Rice I am a sixty year old man set in my ways with a hardened heart and show very little emotion. I came across your video per chance and at a glance I observed you sitting in the middle of the floor with your head looking down I felt a deep sorrow and emptiness in your pose I could not turn away. Your persona captivated me. Your artistry and emotional content opened my heart and tears came to my eyes. you are very special and your ability to deliver your message is such a powerful gift. Stay true to yourself and envelop all of your life experiences into your beautiful artistry all your passion and hard work will make you one of a kind. I don't care if its hip hop ballet tap dancing what ever genre of dance it is this girl kaycee rice embodies the meaning of what the song is that she's dancing to and gives you a visual of what the song is saying I mean I don't even know how to explain it but I get the chills watching her . I'm a black man from the hood and I have never even thought about watching something like this but I was on KZbin and I saw a video when kaycee was 8 years old now I didn't agree with what she had on and I didn't deffinently didn't agree with the dance but she killed it it was way to grown up of an outfit and dance but I had to admit she killed it and I've for the last two years been watching her come in to herself and its beutiful to watch you know but yea kaycee how do they say it oh yea you rock girl

I in love with this side of Kaycee. She's so intricate with her moves and her facials are so amazing. It's like a story and you read it from beginning to end and Kaycee invites you in with her moves. 2:33 - 2:50 , it's so simple, but it goes a long way.
