I don't know about that, I actually think shows for kids are better quality and more mature nowadays (ones like Gravity Falls, We Bare Bears, Over The Garden Wall etc.) Sure, there were mature shows back in the 90's and early 2000's too like Hey Arnold, Daria etc. But due to the current nostalgia generation, shows aimed at kids (especially in animation) have higher standards than it used to, which means better quality material...for the most part.
