Really appreciated the lecture being entry-level with Brunello. Luckily enough you were commented two of the producers I selected for our dinner tonight! Col D'Orcia e Castel Giocondo.

"Nice to smell for someone who has been ill." That is a masterful note.

Excellent and very enjoyable review. I was recently in the Montalcino area and visited a couple of well known vineyards. The 2010 vintage is the one that everyone is mad about now. I'm finding that tastes are changing in regards to tannin. It's becoming accepted that it is part of the regional character and people more accepting of that element of the mouth feel. This part of Italy is an absolute jewel and there are some hidden jems in Umbria too. Subscribed.
