Yes unfortunately I've had to get new extensions, but I'm sure eventually I'll go back to dark hair in the future...

oh no shimmer lights states no brass or red! I purchased because have dark brown with sooo much red in my hair. I can never get a cool blonde. looks like this product won't get me there either

It still had some brass it in BUT what I did notice is that it's less brassy than other kinds of bleach and there is much less damage on your hair. Personally I loved it :)
