@Fernando Reimpell Bravo It is good to know that even if someone is confirmed dead, most large scale organizations, whether it be the government or a gang, will monitor communications to the best of their abilities to avoid essentially information from being leaked, it was more than likely they were expecting someone else to let information out rather than our french boi, even more so since Jotaro is one of the only stand users out there with a ability that can outright bypass King Crimson's Time Erase with Time Stop, so it was a requirement for them to monitor the communications in italy and any suspicious movements from individuals who made contact with Polnareff at any point to quickly eliminate them, however Diavolo also probably wanted to ensure when exactly Jotaro would come, because as you would imagine, one of your few surviving friends suddenly going silent would definitely spark a interest in Jotaro, and the only chance Diavolo would of had is a surprise attack.

Actually it's very easy to defeat Diavolo. Make a trap far that is set far beyond 10 seconds. Like a gas room. If you can distract Diavolo into a room that takes longer than 10 seconds to travel across and get him in the center, he by the time he predicts you shutting all the escapes it's too late. All you have to do now is fill the room with deadly gas and bam KC is dead.
