Yes, definitely agree with that! It’s also really doable as well, providing they’re game to do it - you’d only need 4 people; Bruno on vocals and guitar, Anderson on vocals and drums, Thundercat on bass (and vocals if 3-part harmony was required) and Anderson’s main keys player (don’t know the guy’s name but he’s great) doing keys. That would be an awesome Tiny Desk!!

I'm a bigger fan of Anderson by a small percentage, but my respect for Bruno just went up in orders of magnitude. Interviewer was leaning more towards Anderson because he was partial to Anderson as an artist (he mentions early in the interview), but Bruno was so gracious and humble, he didn't even seem threatened by it. You guys don't know how "LEAVE THE DOOR OPEN" moved me. The power of that old harmony coming to life in Anderson Paak and Bruno Mars when you sang "tell me that you're coming through" I burst into tears. I'm 63 yrs. old and was a singer/performer who sang from his heart in my 20's 30's and 40's. I'm from Indianapolis and I enjoyed singing at weddings and special events, also , funerals being a Christian man. Grown men would be in tears during some of my appearances at weddings and funerals. This happened only because they could hear the heart felt emotion coming out in my GOD GIVEN talent. I thought I would never hear that again . And when you guys collaborated on LEAVE THE DOOR OPEN, I couldn't stop crying. YOU GUYS KILLED IT. I haven't heard that type of harmony and soul and passion, in years. This interview shows exactly how they are in real life. I saw them in Vegas in August and was fortunate enough to get invited to their private after party where I was able to meet both of them! Got a hug from Andy and a Blown kiss from Bruno! A night I will never forget. Had a magical conversation with Eric, Bruno's big brother who was so humble, kind and real. I tried everything in my heart to respect our conversation and not bring up Bruno so I could show much respect to him as a wonderful musician. I hope to converse with them again it was night I'll never forget.

This album did the impossible. Hear me out. I have a drum student (I have many, but this one in particular), he’s never particularly enthused about much: life, drumming, music. We’ve been working on Fly As Me. I often play together with my students & to get in the mood of a performance I turn off the lights, turn on the stage lights to create an atmosphere. We’re playing it and I look over and his shoulder’s are moving, his head is bobbing, he IS GROOVING OUT to this amazing tune. I’ve NEVER seen him get into anything before. Anderson and Bruno revitalized the Funk. And putting Bootsy on the album was the icing on the cake. Live instruments and vocals.😁😁😁 The whole album a work of Art.

As a musician I love the way they talk to each other and how RESPECTFUL they are to each one another, it makes things so much fun and creative and no competition and hating. That’s how good music begins and lasts.

This is why artist should be allowed to do what they want. When they're passionate about their work, we get magic. I listen to the album, no skip a couple times a week. This one album (and I hope we get more), for me, will be on the level of the greats. When we talk old school music, Silk Sonic will be in that category. I was able to listen to something new, I love 70s-90s music. I'm just learning to like the newer music, but this reignited my love of musicianship.

Silk Sonic is currently the best band in the world. This is their moment. Hopefully, they are vanguards of an wider R&B revival movement, but if this album is all that comes of this collaboration that's more than enough.

I have been following this project from the start and I just can't stop smiling. I have been a DJ back in the 70's and when I listen to a track from the new album I am transported back to those day and TSOP and mowtown. There is a quality that only come from belief in the whole package from lyrics and the rhythm and production. There are so much soul and funk in the music. From Harold Melvin and The Bluenotes to Tower of Power, the Ojays, Billy Paul not to mention Gamble and Huff. Their music has bought the genre back into mainstream music again and so I want to say thank you Silk Sonic and to quote from the Sound of Phillidelphia yours truly the seekersofrhythm "keep on keeping on" and I pray that one day I'll get the chance to thank you. stay safe J

I found out about Bruno Mars only a month ago and started to get into him. Anderson .Paak came with their album together. Two amazing vocalists and musicians made what I say is the perfect album. Ebro worded perfectly by saying this is an amazing album to listen with anyone especially family. I adore An Evening With Silk Sonic and hope that these two collaborate with even more amazing music. Definitely made me find my passion in music again
