This song took me back to my childhood. The 70s was THE BEST decade for dance music, hands down. This song is sooooo refreshing. I remember Saturday afternoon skating at the roller rink. The video is spot-on from the music to the clothes, to the excellent skating by those beautiful ladies. Everyone is going to be grooving to this for a long time to come.

Anderson Paak is amazing -- drumming and singing at the same time is difficult. Bruno is really showcasing Anderson with the Silk Sonic songs which are awesome and something artists of his stature don't readily do. Anderson's talent is freaking awesome but he has not had the exposure Bruno has. Silk Sonic is changing that! Love this video, all the 70's vibe again like their prior video; the bicycle, VW Bug, Bus, and delivery truck, the girls' rollerskates, their outfits, the congas, instruments, and even the fan in the background - all legit 1970s. Skating was HUGE in the 70s!!! Bruno Mars is at his best with the 70's vibe and is extremely detail-oriented when staging his videos and camera work. Did you notice how the camera blurs out Bruno to give Anderson the focus? This song reminds me of the boys in high school in the '70s going to Ocean Beach in San Francisco every day after school and jamming!

I was looking forward to your reaction, one of my favorite reactors. When I heard it the first time, it reminded me of the disco records that would play at the skating rinks. I knew you were gonna flip, and the 'strings' section is a very 70's element in a lot of disco music. This is 2 for 2 from Anderson and Bruno, and when this album drops, it's gonna be something else. I love how Bruno dresses to match the music on his album - 24K was luxurious, lots of YSL and Versace. Found out about 5 or 6 yrs ago, that I can still skate. What a groove. This is almost like ultimate skate song. Can’t do tricks but can groove & skate to the beat (63 yrs old). Anderson .Paak was the opening act for the Bruno Mars 2017 24K Magic World Tour. They decided to get together to form a band of their own. The great Bootsy Collins came up with the name for the band - "Silk Sonic". This song is on their debut album called "An Evening With Silk Sonic". The entire album has not been released yet. So far they have only released the one minute intro song, the song "Leave the Door Open", and this one - "Skate". The vibe is definitely '70's R&B. I couldn't find a total release date for the album. I am wondering if they are going to just release it one song at a time - to build interest (and the numbers are showing a tremendous amount of interest in their songs). I can't wait to hear all of their songs! As for Bruno Mars, my all-time favorite song of his is "Uptown Funk" (where he was the guest feature singer with the Mark Ronson band), and then "Versace On the Floor".
