Looking back at this I would believe that it was part of the transition toward better things. Wake up calls happen, push us in a different direction and with that comes experience. I think he saw the result of this happening being part of what made him who he is now. Motown may in fact have more regrets in the long term than he will have, and they probably now aren't diverse enough as a company for the artist that Bruno has grown into.

Motown Records Messed Up Bigtime when they dropped 1 of the BIGGEST Selling Artist of all time in such a short period of time.. Bruno is up there and will be written Down in the History Books of Musical Genius of all times along with ELVIS, Michael Jackson and Prience.... He is amazing so In Brunos own words "SUCK IT Motown.....

They did him a favor. He didn't blame Motown. He said he was too young. He added that he and his partner wrote awful songs so he started all over again. He collaborated with new writers and started writing better sings and the rest is history.

@@H1delta - The problem with him losing the contract is that we lost 7 years of him putting out music. He was fired when he was 18. He didn't get another contract until he was 25. We'll never know what kind of music we would've gotten from him during those 7 years.

Bruno - look at it this way - there are people out there that have to now say" WE ARE THE IDIOTS THAT DROPPED BRUNO MARS - FROM MOTOWN RECORDS!" Then ask yourself - which side hurts the most and longest. You or them? You responded in such professional stride! You are skyrocketing - JUST BE CAREFUL, AND ENJOY THE RIDE!

All Motown had to do was work with him and give him time !! If they would have been patient it would have paid off for Motown ! I bet every Motown Legend from Dianna Ross, Lionel Richie, to the Jacksons marched into that office and said you just ruined our legacy that we all helped build because we will go down in history as the label who lost a musical genius and a legend in Bruno Mars who could have put Motown back on the map ! I bet whoever made that decision got all kinds of hell and probably still getting it !!!!

@@paulinotouI doubt they don't have any talent coming in . I mean who would want to sign with a label that dropped Bruno Mars. In my mind I would be like they don't know what in the hell they are doing over there !!! I would avoid that label like it's the plague !
