Hey! Welcome to a new adventure!
I wanted to challenge myself to climb a 4000m peak from the valley to the top in a single push so I just did it! Gran Paradiso, what an incredible peak!
Started from Pont Breuil (2000m)

You was very lucky being alone. Some years ago i found myself in a crowd of no less than 100 climbers waiting at 4050m: strong wind coming up from Chabod side and 15 celsius below. I sent a kiss to Virgin Mary and got back. Good job dude.

Amazed you can do these adventures and manage to film. I went up here with a guide 2 years ago and I didn’t manage to film anything KZbin worthy. The top with the statue was too busy to visit, and the way down there were a few crevasses. We left the other client half way up, and met them for the way down. Not sure if I had a good guide who was willing to get me to the summit no matter what , or a bad guide who tells a client to sit and wait for us. Wild times.

Look how far you've come :-). I remember your early "rookie" videos when you reached out only the Julian Alps and a small section of Dolomites. And now, you are climbing 4000ers near the Mont Blanc and Matterhorn region. A few more years and I think we'll watch your videos that will be made in the Himalayas :).

I usually roll over and feel humbled to be alive at the same time of Master Bruno because of His godlike videomaking skills, but because I've been on the same route He took this time, I now know there's more to Him than that meets the eye. Driving to Pont and then, just like that, hiking to Gran Paradiso. Acclimatisation be damned...only humans need that. Honourable mention: making insta360 footage look professional is as hard as hiking 2000m metres from the dead of night to the top of G.Paradiso, but He made it look so effortless... Oh, and to be able to sit on THAT mountaintop ALONE w/o being zerged in these days is...no slouch.

I cannot understand the though process of deciding to solo crevassed terrain. For me it being early in the season is even more of a reason to rope up. Crevasses are hidden by snow bridges, instead of all open and bare like in the late season. It has also been very hot lately, so this is exactly when snow bridges are starting to collapse. For me there is no reason to do this solo, even if it feels relatively safe now. There is still an unpredictable risk in this terrain and falling into a crevasse while solo would mean certain and slow death. The single push approach sounds lovely though! Amazing achievement.
@BrunoPisaniAdventure
@BrunoPisaniAdventure Жыл бұрын
You’re right but it was early June and big snowfalls had just fallen at high altitude, there was A LOT of snow (2meters or more) above the ice so the risk of falling in was minimal. The track was also super well beaten.

Great video. Love your pace and awareness of the people and environment. We can feel how you enjoy do it. I will try to do the same, but maybe with one guide. Was a bit scary at the tight stop at the top, afraid of any ice/snow sliding. One question, I’m looking for a camera/adventure backpack, for 1 to 3 days, for a few camera gear, food and light camping gear. How do you like the Shimoda? I’m between Shimoda x50/70, f-stop or Atlas Adventure.
