Hey man, just come over a few days ago glad to see some of my North Carolina people getting work done. It’s the first time I’ve seen a JCB with a brush cutter or mulcher head on. It looks like it does a good job hold it on. Enjoy the video. Keep them coming. God bless stay safe.

Your good to go I put our kubota on stuff you can't walk on 😅 it is close to straight up as you can get it sets up there just fine. We use the dual wheel tractor to get the hills and then take the kubota to get the trees just don't be there when the rain comes I slid 300 yards last year that was not fun

Holy cow! I bet that slide felt like an eternity! I’m more comfortable with the machine now and would test that when I get the chance again!

@honeycuttsbrushmore3244 I let go of the controls and just set there going I hope I don't flip when I get to the bottom but it slid down to the bottom and stopped I walked it back to the truck and told my son we are done for the season rains here 🤣

That skid steer is supposed to be good up to 30° grade so you could've done it. You would've needed an aggressive c lug track because you were sliding quite a bit. When you get up by the fence don't be afraid to put the brush catcher up against the fence. Those blades aren't fixed so if it hits fence they'll just fold and deflect. Otherwise great job you found a way to get the most of your machine within your comfort zone.

I picked up a new JCB300T in June. I’m looking at getting a brush cutter (HF Blue Diamond or Bradco). A few questions: Wondering what you run? Also, tackling steep hills-our farm has a bunch, how do you tackle climbing them. I threw a track off with on 13hrs on a new machine. With a mower do you do better backing up or going forward with your tipping weight equaled with the mower weight?

Honestly, I would much rather go down a hill than up. That feeling when it lists backwards is like falling to me. Hate it. Going down you can use the attachment to slow you and keep you under control. Going up I try to take the hill at a 45 degree. It’s all about “feel”. Btw the blue diamond cutter is the cousin of the mulcher I use now. Both are great.

Also, try not to do hard turns. That’s what throws the track. You’ll be on or next to a stump and not know it. Turn and the force just pops it right off. I always take 2 wood blocks, a grease gun, my impact drive, and a pry bar on every job. Just for that reason.

@@honeycuttsbrushmore3244 A trick to make things easier is to use 3 or 4 metal dowels for the rear idler. Set the track on the drive sprocket and front idler. Use the dowels to place in between the links of the track above the rear idler. Slowly rotate the track backwards while pushing inwards towards the cab to get the track to slide over the rear idler without the links catching. You may have to repeat that last step a few times. Once the track is aligned continue to rotate the track backwards until the dowels come out from between the track and rear idler, and you should be on good as new. Put in grease until the specified track play and you're done. This works for getting tracks on and off. I have to thank Davin at idigit4 for this little trick as it sure beats beating the track on with a sledge hammer.

It’s uphill from a major highway and if neglected, could cause major issues to the roadway if the dam breaks.
