Good stuff man thanks. I also have a bobcat e42 and looked at this unit but ended up ordering one that will handle 6 inch material. Keep it rolling, I'll clear brush vicariously through you for now! Thanks

Love your channel man, can’t wait to see video of it on your e42.

Does it sling a lot of material everywhere. Trying to figure out how close it can be to houses and cars. Great Video!

It does throw it quite a bit. I’m planning on enclosing one side to see if it will help with that and help process material better.

I have the exact same machine and have been looking at this cutter for around my pond and a few other spots. I was worried about the weight being too tippy but looks like it handles it well. Are you just unplugging the hydro lines for the thumb and running the cutter with the thumb switch? Thanks for the video!

It does ok at full reach as long as the blade is down. The one I have is the 36in, I wouldn’t want go any bigger. I tried running on the lines but the line diameter is smaller. The new machines have a switch valve, to which you can leave the thumb hoses hooked up.

Do you have to have hi.flow for that brush hog
@grade-aland23882 жыл бұрын
You don’t have too. My machine is low flow and runs it well.

I just had a quick question, what brand of cutter is that. And where did you get it?. Thank you

Hey Don, it’s the RUT brush mower 36in, here is a link: rutmfg.com/shop/excavator-attachments/excavator-brush-mower/

You should have a constant flow valve you are going to ruin your machine

I normally use it, but figured using the toggle on/off and switching off while traveling would put less stress and wear on the pump.

I will check with my dealer see what they recommend.

@@grade-aland2388 it actually works opposite of that. The constant winding up and down wears the pump faster. I have a similar setup. I'm running a bushmaster 42 on a John Deere 35g.

Ok thanks for the heads up, I’ll be using constant from now on.

@@grade-aland2388 checking with your dealer is a great idea. Also you can look up constant flow function and it will explain why it's better for the machine and cutter performance when it's constant flow. I hard plummer the thumb and use auxillary lines for attachments. It protects the machine.
