New subscriber here, I like the new mini skid steer. I have been watching a lot of mini excavator videos and yours popped up on my to watch list. With those two pieces of equipment you have, there isn't to many jobs you can't do. You can't even buy a used name brand machine for what you have in both pieces new. Can't wait to see what all the attachments can do. I know were not neighbors but if you want to load up and come to Indiana you could take care of a few projects I need done. 😂

@@OurLifeInTrees Compare that unit to the ones that Ritchie Brothers offers ( AGT Industrial LRT 23 as an example ) and there is no comparison. This one beats theirs hands down on everything but the price. But theirs is not as capable. For one, theirs does not have the auto leveling arms. Two, the fuel tank is set low and would be a pain to fill as it is right at your feet. Three, your sides extend back to form a sort of cage that will protect you and also keep you from falling off sideways if you make a sharp turn. Four, yours had the hydraulic lines that are metal inside the arms for protection. The AGT's are on top of the arms where they could get damaged more easily. 5. Throttle is better located. 6. Motors are up high and not down low like on the AGT. 7. I think theirs is either a one or two pump machine. Not a 3 pump as when you operate some attachments, it affects the drive system. And the list goes on. So for twice the price, you really got more than double the machine.

What I don't understand is the load capacity on yours is rated at 390KG, mine is only rated at 200KG despite being similar weighted machines. Mine does not have counter-weights though, so that probably gains you an extra 100KG or so, but I think your lift capacity may be over stated.

I bought mine directly from the manufacturer with a 3 gear pump for about 6K + shipping from China about 3 years ago. Great video. I’ve been looking at mini excavators but now I’m thinking a skid steer might suit me. I originally wanted to do primarily trenching with the ex, but might consider one of these with a trencher attachment. That and my 250’ gravel driveway that needs annual maintenance. The local auction house seems to have many similar ones but it sounds like you pointed out some key differences with yours. I’ll have to go and take a look at them in person.
@OurLifeInTrees2 ай бұрын
I have a mini excavator and loved it until I got this. Now the excavator just sits because almost anything I can do with the excavator I can do with the skid steer. The excavator is better for digging holes. It has a small finer tooth rake for cleaning up brush and yard debris. The skid’s 4in1 bucket may work well for some of that as well? It’s also good at trenching and moving the dirt out of the way, the trencher will make a dirt pile. Maybe trenching across a gravel driveway you don’t want a dirt pile? I’m sure I’ll find more differences as I move forward using the machines. Check out a Facebook group for Chinese mini skid steers. A lot of guys are having a lot of problems with the cheap auction units. Some are good, most are bad. Check into the specific one first.

Checking the link in your description. The ad has a B&S engine not a Honda as you demonstrated. Are there other differences from the one you've shown? Thx
@OurLifeInTrees2 ай бұрын
The link is for the DRT450. When you talk to the salesman, Dean, he can set it up the way you want. I opted for the Honda engine and changed a few things around from the Alibaba listing, it all reflected on my paperwork and invoice. They are willing to make changes since they are the manufacturer.

@@OurLifeInTrees I wonder if they would be willing to change the controls to ISO standards? so that the left joy stick controls both tracks forward, backward and left and right. While the right stick controls the bucket. As a long term skid steer operator these odd controls could be a problem when muscle memory kicks in, in tight quarters.

Run your videos through a limiter/compressor in post production before uploading. 👍

@@OurLifeInTrees The intro sound level is vastly louder than the rest of the video. Running it through a limiter will bring everything back in line. @OurLifeInTrees3 күн бұрын
Not a sponsored video, I paid normal retail price like anyone else. I just realized that no one else has videos on these and they are doing really well. So I may as well keep them coming. They took snap shots and clips from the videos and put them on alibaba. I already talked to them about doing that It doesn’t hurt my channel and doesn’t bother me. It’s kind of flattering honestly.

@OurLifeInTrees17 күн бұрын
Just let Dean know what you want and he will send an invoice. You pay a percentage down and they start production. Pay the remainder when it ships out. Use DDP shipping to you in Texas and you need a forklift when it arrives to unload. If you pay with a CC alibaba charges 2.9% extra. It’s pretty easy actually. Hope this helps.
